  1. My favourite player now is Zack Stortini.............
  2. They have spilled the beans, just look at the great seal of the United States, the all-seeing eye is right there Seriously though, these conspiracy theories are just good for a bit of fun. When you think about some of the wild stories in the Bible that so many people accept as truth (virgin birth, rising from the dead, the story of Noah's ark, man surviving in a whale etc.) it's hard to understand why skeptics who believe those stories write off things like UFO's and the Illuminati as ridiculous, hysterical theories.
  3. Winter just makes spring that much sweeter, it's a part of Canadian life folks.
  4. Take me to some of your high country native cutty streams and maybe we can work out a deal...
  5. That would definitely make you a very legit Canadian
  6. The speed of those animals nevers ceases to impress me, even in tight quarters they are fast as hell for such big animals. Cool footage.
  7. It's great here because the mod's don't tolerate blatant trolls or attacks on other members, and guests aren't allowed to post, resulting in accountability.
  8. Cool flies, are you going steelheading in the near future?
  9. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=228952&hubname= The deal still needs league approval but that should be no problem. Katz won't take control until the end of this season but it's still great news. This may be the beginning of the end of mediocrity in the Oil country...
  10. Yeah his strength was outstanding, when he had the puck along the boards nobody could move him off it. And he probably is one of the greatest fighters the game has seen. Too bad Oilers fans now have to hang our heads in embarrassment when we watch Stortini try to hug people to death.
  11. Funniest was an old, stoned, burn-out in the bushes at Prince's Island, my brightly coloured fly line blew his mind.
  12. Of course Gilbert is coming over to grab/shove, Godard, he shoved his goaltender. Defending your goalie is standard protocol. It starts when Godard knocks down Garon, Pitkanen turns to have a word, and Godard punches him in the face. Then Gilbert skates over to have a word with Godard, and Godard drops the gloves and socks Gilbert as soon as he's in range. Of course everyone is going to converge on Godard after that, it was a sucker punch. Anyway, Godard got suspended because it was his 3rd game misconduct. He's lucky our 'enforcer' is a joke and big Georges isn't around anymore.
  13. Moreau's play on Phaneuf was dirty too, lucky he didn't get a heavier penalty. I never mind seeing Dion get clocked though. Godard wasn't 'agitating', he dropped the gloves before Gilbert saw him coming and cheap-shotted him in the face, Garon came out to shove him off and he turned and started throwing at Garon. It was a childish tantrum.
  14. What's with Godard, dude needs a chill pill. Punches Gilbert for no reason and then turns on Garon, what a spazz, I hope he's suspended.
  15. Can't blame Cujo entirely for the loss tonight, the flames d wasn't too solid and their go-to forwards were useless.
  16. This is ridiculous, Burke will have a good shot at Stamkos now, we're definitely gonna finish in the bottom 5. I hope Katz can save this team when he takes over this summer.
  17. Well look at that, Tarnstrom is gone for a bottom 6 grinder, the Oilers were definitely lacking that kind of player
  18. Exhibit E would be a bully killer
  19. Cool, I'll look forward to seeing updates with pics. Newfoundland and Labrador is high on my places-to-fish list.
  20. I'm gonna say Philly. And if that happens look for them to go very deep in the post-season.
  21. Yeah I agree, Hemmer is not like an Iginla or a Lecavalier, a star player and leader that you can build a team around. I just find him fun as hell to watch though, his sick hands and crazy passes make him my favourite player.
  22. I dunno Rocknbugs, he's still only 24 and is still growing as a player. The difference in Hemsky's play between this season and last has been something else. A great player is someone who makes the players around him better, and Hemsky fits that description. He done well enough playing with mediocre players, and now that they finally have a legit 1st line Hemmer is hovering around a point-per-game and will just keep getting better. At this point he's the Oil's best player and the funnest to watch. (before flames fans jump all over this post and tell me I'm a moron, note that I haven't said he's a star, or elite, player)
  23. I've mentioned it before, but it was last August about 2 weeks after I had finally got my license. I was planning a trip to the trunk road for bulls, starting at the Livingstone and then heading down the trunk road to some other spots. Coming down the 532 in my front-wheel drive saturn station, I took a corner a little too fast, hit some loose gravel, fishtaled a couple times but couldn't recover and flipped into the ditch. Bounced, rolled, and landed up right. I remember glass flying around as I flipped. The windows were gone, the roof was mostly caved in, there were large rocks stuck in the door...and I was not even scratched. Luckily it was the lower part of that road, not one of the places where going off would be certain death. After the crash I sat there dazed, it was a really strange feeling. I was hugely disappointed in the day being done at 8 am, before I even wet a line. Eventually a nice guy who worked on the trunk road drove by and offered to take me to the Chain Lakes visitor center, where I called home and was eventually picked up.
  24. "probably the best southern options at that time of year"
  25. Care to explain your apparent shock?
