  1. Sun, you and Rick should get together and look at flower photos together, as well!! P
  2. Great work Kyle!! P
  3. "Suck it up buttercup" P
  4. Maybe you should try again to return them, but return them under another name/address (as your name/address might be flagged)... P
  5. Rick, Your health benefits plan might cover them since they'd have Rx lenses!! P P.S. Then get a lanyard like Lynn found out!
  6. I concur, as I have had great customer service with a broken pair of Smiths after a Mtb'ing crash where I broke the frames. Face required 4 sutures but frames were replaced for free on the spot at the place of purchase!! P
  7. Good to know! Thanks Lynn!! P
  8. Other then Lower K lakes... Not really... There are some really small creeks in the area (Boulton Creek, for example) but I've never fished them though they should hold fish?! If you make it up to the "Inter Lakes" area (short drive from the campground) there are several 7 km - 10 km hikes that will put you in some good water (PM me for specifics)... From the Mt. Sarrail trail head (again a short drive from the campground) you can hike into Rawson (lots of people) or Aster (I don't think Hidden lake holds any fish). Elbow Lake trail head is a short drive as well and only about 1 km hike in (= lots of people), or a bit further down hwy 40 you can get into Pickle Jar lakes (smallish fish in the 2nd & 3rd lakes). Cheers, Peter
  9. Glad you had a great time! Remember, don't tell anyone!! LoL P
  10. "B" are you wanting to hike in or drive in, cast from shore or float tube/pontoon?! You are in a prime area for K Lakes, Rawson, Elbow Lake and many, many others!! Upper reaches of both the Sheep and Highwood, as well as Cataract Creek, etc. just to name a few... "P"eter
  11. Yup same up North... It usually happens around this time of year from what I remember... P
  12. Wow! You put the Greens a head of the "L"'s!! LoL Nice!! P
  13. Not to continue the hijack.... But... So Rick, what do you do when the fish is flipping and flopping around?! You want to get a quick photo, but sometimes it's moving around so much if you gripped it like you suggest, it would be on the rocks or back in the water?! P *Edit* Rick, just invite me out with you one of these days and show me!! LoL!!
  14. Nice work, though both you and I need a lesson or two on how to hold fish for photos!! LoL Peter
  15. Rick, you should have called me, Deb and I would have come for dinner!! LoL Great stories! P
  16. Mike, I have had the same problem recently with some "Skid Bitches" I purchased online... Makes sense as to why the fish were hitting the fly, but not getting hooked... Thanks, P
  17. I purchased Thule racks at Crappy Tire before so check out online to see if they are still selling Thule (you can check store availability. P
  18. I rememebr Don Anderson saying that he found (hooked) a dead body on a similar thread a while back!!
  19. Phew, I was worried you were gonna say how you used the tampons!! LoL P P.S. Dropped my headlamp and pouch in Invincible Creek last weekend so it's proably floating around Upper Kananaskis lake by now!!
  20. Are there going to be different catagories, i.e., landscape, with fish in, people without fish in, etc.? Or just one? P
  21. Mine says I have a huge ego and that I am a pretentious and pompous prick!! LoL Really I'm not!! But like to be unique and I think using an umlaut is Über (super) kewl and unique (and a bit pretentious)!! Peter P.S. Don't need any further comments/opinions Rick!!
  22. I happen to think it's a great article!! From someone that eats tofu!! LoL!! Thanks Rick!! P
  23. Ryan, I'll send you my e-mail via PM and we'll chat... FYI, were heading out again for a backpacking trip in two weeks so you might be able to tag along if it works out.. Not sure where at this point, but... P
  24. Ryan, are you looking for a day trip or over night? What kind of shape are you in (out of 10)? Do you have any backcountry exp. (out of 10)? FYI, the harder you work to get into some lakes the bigger the reward. Are you looking at casting from shore or using a tube. There are a few references on the site from the last few months. If you can get a hold of "Fly Fishing the Canadian Rockies" by Joey Ambrosi, it is a great reference even though the info is some what dated. Also I think the "Outdoor Alberta" site has some fishing specific info on it, but I've complained to the site mods about their fishing handling and photo posting and they have done nothing about it, but that dosen't surprise me!! :$*%&: :$*%&: Contact me directly if you want any more info, I'd be happy to share some (not all) of it with you... Cheers, Peter
  25. Wolfie, Didn't you write in a previous post something about sicking your pet wolf onto someone?! LoL What does that say... Hmmm!! P P.S. <kidding>
