  1. Yeah it's called "spin"... Kinda like what the AB Gov't is trying to do with the "Tar Sands" P
  2. Brad, no expert, but I think the descriptor "clean coal" refers to the amount of sulfer that is contained within the coal and therefore the amount of heat it can prodouce when oxidized (burned)... Alberta has realatively "clean coal" vs say the UK... So it's a "realtive" term... Natural gas is definitely "cleaner burning" with less pollutants... Others can expand, clarify, educate... Thx, P
  3. Which ever net you decide to get may I suggest that you try and get one with as long a handle as you are comfortable with (pontoon size, woul dbe my reco)... Can still be attached to a vest, but makes it WAY easier to land fish... P
  4. Birchy, you sport a "Murse"?! LoL P
  5. 'Cept not all Indians are Hindu (Hindi is a language), many practice Islam, Buddhism, Sikhism, Christianity and Jainism... P

  7. I hope he released it!! P
  8. Wow Chris, your spey casting has sure improved!! LoL P name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350">Click here if the movie does not play.
  9. Seeing that all the servers (and moderators) have been outsourced to India, that would explain it! LoL P
  10. Carter, Though I do not own a Z-axis, I do own both the SA Streamer Express & GPX in the 6 wt... In my exp. the Streamer Express felt much heavier then the GPX (before altering). I have cut off 10' (or 15' - I can't remember) off the Streamer Express (25' sink tip) and it works much better for tossing (weighted) streamers on the Bow (I also put loop to loop connections on the cut piece and use it for tossing weighted streamers on the Lower K for Bullies - works great). If you wanna toss the ones I have on your z-axis to see how it feels, lemme know... P
  11. The way I look at it, the whole idea behind getting a "custom" rod built is to get it built to YOUR specs (whether components, flex, grip, colour, etc.), getting a custom rod built based on someone else's specs, defeats the whole purpose IMHO... Just my $0.02. P
  12. Rick, you can't help but post that photo again, eh!! It looks to me like it's the only Brownie you've ever caught!! LoL!! P P.S. Of course you can tell I'm EXTREMELY jealous!!
  13. Marc, Surely that doesn't retrofit on an exsisting rod, does it?! Yuu would have replace your stock reel seat! P *edit* Oh I see, it's part of a particular rod manufacture's design...
  14. Was scrolling through info on the New Ross Evolution LT - wow, seems like a really nice reel!! Anyway, I noticed the page for the "Balance" - Adjustible Reel Arm (http://www.rossreels.com/products/reel-arm/balance-reel-arm.cfm). Useful or gimmick?! P
  15. Hmmm, since the only lake that has been mentioned is private, it's irrelevant!! Insert GPT
  16. I think it was stated quite early in this thread that ths was a "non competative" event... Or at least that's what I've taken from it, maybe I have misread things... *Edit* From the website Canadensis listed "A competitive fishing event is a competition involving 26 or more anglers" I don't think 26 people are even interested...
  17. I guess in some way, you have a greater chance of getting "jacked" as was the case a few years ago when the iPod came out and was quite expensive (not so much anymore)... But the larger the devise, the easier it is to rob you of it... Not saying that it will be prevalent, but possible... As opposed to a book, most "theives" are not going to rob you for your book or magazine... So let the $hit start to fly! LoL P
  18. So what is 1% of the (total) weight of a "fly" (nymph vs. streamer) and is it 1 % of just the weight of the hook, or a fully dressed fly?! P
  19. Marc, I know what you're saying, but the low tech option is still an option (especially with kids that spend WAY too much time in front of the T.V. and computer)... P
  20. A library card is still cheaper (considering you're tax dollars have already paid for the books, magazines and dvds!)! Plus it gets you out of the house!! P
  21. Absolutely not!! It is a glorified iTouch that's for sure!! I, like you am a HUGE fan of Apple and their products, but I think they dropped the ball on this one, as it falls short in a number of ways... No camera, backlit screen, and needs upgrading to access a 3G network... Oh and don't drop the thing!! Definitely not the revolutionary product Mr. Jobs thinks it will be!! P
