They are AWSOME! But you don't need to spend the money!! I find the plastic coated steel spinning type leaders last a lot longer then the "bite tippet" which seems to kink-up after a few fish/knots... I can never seem to un-kink even though there are supposedly a few techniques out there to do so.

These leaders already have a swivel, but if using "bite tippet", yes I would use a swivel as hinging and turn over are a non-issue when fishing for pike.

For the past few years, I have been using a standard steel (spin casting) leader and 3' - 4' of 20 lb mono.

Welcome to the club! Mine happened after fighting a 25 lb GT for an hour. Which eventually healed, but over compensating at work caused my left elbow to developed Tennis Elbow and now it's the one that's bothering me... I'm 3 months into my 2nd injection! I find k-tape works (have your physio show you how to tape it) with a Tennis Elbow brace. From what I've been told it can persist. Good luck I empathize with you!! Peter

There are Gap Lake and Grotto just outside of Canmore/Exshaw. Of course there is Minniwanka (sp?), next door, but it's big water, not sure if it under the same regs.
