  1. I find it interesting that they chose to not allow comments on that particular news spot!!
  2. One that allows for the following outdoor recreational activities (and others) Mountain Biking Hiking Trail Running Snowshoeing Fat biking Equestrian Bird Watching Snowmobiling Fishing Hunting Orienteering Camping
  3. Send SLS a message. Clear cutting in high value recreational areas is not wanted. Of course this is just my opinion. Let yours be heard! https://bckor.typeform.com/to/iNOmCW
  4. Probably a koi. Unfortunately, people release those, goldfish, etc. all the time.

  9. Just got off the water at Policemen's Flats just now and there is a guy driving around with his kids on a quad (kids with bike helmets, dad with no helmet) 👍👍 I'd report him but have no idea who to call!!

  12. Question? Who are the "residents" in the area? Car dealerships and industrial businesses? They must have a lot of lobbying influence!!
  13. From my understanding fires can definitely be started from the exhaust pipes ( that are not stock). Some people alter their exhaust systems and they run really hot. Fires have been started from what I 've been told from a few fire fighters that I work with.
  14. A great move! I just hope they have enough co's to enforce the ban!!
  15. It's a burbot (aka ling cod)!! Known as the lobster of the prairies ( as far as how they taste)!!
  16. Yeah just be sure to use the nylon nuts so that the eye bolts get locked in.
  17. Years ago when I had a seahawk ( pretty much the same), I made some bench seats and upgraded the oar locks with Nickel plated eye bolts. Also had to replace the cheap oars it came with. Worked great for floating the bow.
  18. Are you going to be paddling solo, or tandem with someone else (having someone help you transport it)? My opinion, is there is a reason why there are a ton of "Coleman" and crappy tire specials on Kijiji and few if any Clipper, Hellman, Wenonah, etc. You get what you pay for, but that depends on what you want and what you are going to be using it for. You can also get pontoon (outriggers) so that you can stand up and they add stability. If you have any specific questions, please ask. I'm no expert, but have purchased 3 clippers, 1 evergreen and grew up paddling a grumman and I am also on the hunt once again for yet another canoe. Peter
  19. Geeze Rick, with all this time on your hands, you be tying them yourself (come to think of it, tie some for me ) P

  21. Wow! I would have never thought!! Weird!! Thanks Brunsie!
  22. Call me nieve, but is there a black market for used tailgates?
  23. Disgusting! Fricken irresponsible people have no respect for the environment or the people that live in the area!
  24. Don't waste your breath! Call him in!!
