  1. Obviously this guy has no clue! I suspect quite a few do not! Pure laziness (or just don't care). He says he spoke to "Rangers" and they agreed with him that this area was ok? I call BS. This area has been closed for many years and COs have known that!
  2. Be sure to copy the video in case he deletes it!
  3. Are you able to follow up with RAP (?) to see if anything happened?
  4. Al I didn't realize that there were Cowboys wrangling the cattle as well!! I presumed they were free range.
  5. Awesome!! FYI, I do give a FFC discount P
  6. Brookies every chance I get (for obvious reasons on specific sw AB streams, but also, b/c they are sooooo yummy), and (personally) maybe one or 2 Cutties per year from specific high mtn lakes. When guiding, I will check with my clients before hand to see if they are interested in keeping (which will depend on which lake I guide them to - at some of the lakes, the populations need to be thinned out).
  7. Al Did you take any photos or video footage, by chance?
  8. When I was a white water guide, we configured the rafts with "beaver boards" http://www.mountainbuzz.com/forums/f45/advice-on-rigging-rear-floor-beaver-board-36096.html
  9. Are you alive? If you get this please email me at Peter@thealpineexperience.ca. Happy birthday!!

  12. There used to be a parks office at the Harry Hayes, then they moved to 8th & 8th...Not sure if they are still there... There has to be a number you can call? Call the Banff office and ask them, they should be able to tell you!
  13. Definitely something you don't expect from a guide that normally has a good reputation... Low-holed = when you are fishing a run from riffle to tailout and someone starts fishing the same "hole" just down from you. Sometimes they crowd you, even cast where you are casting or cast over your line.
  14. Interesting... The last time we floated the Bow, this same guide low holed us twice on the same day! Tried to call him out on it and he just ignored me...
  15. Yeah I was going to try and embed that clip, but it wasn't working for me!!
  16. I hope you have his permission to post his photo on the interweb
  17. Don't forget to check Kijiji in BC, as well!!
  18. Paul, Yeah pole or hose, hose is less work!! P
  19. I fish the biggest dark stone under an indi next to a seam or undercut bank!
  20. Deb and I were able to take some folks up to an AMAZING lake that I have only been into the area during the winter!
  21. I guess one needs to define what "mid-range" is, as far as cost!!
