  1. Only feedback I would have would be if the lean bar is removable... Doesn't look like it which is unfortunate. http://midcurrent.com/2015/11/17/video-outcast-sporting-gear-osg-striker-inflatable-frameless-raft/
  2. So as I have previously posted, Deb and I are going to Nicaragua in January for 2 weeks and are planning to fish both Lake Nicaragua (fresh water - Tarpon, Gar, Snook, Rainbow Bass, etc.) and Salt (Inshore - roosters, etc.). The dilemma is we are limited with how much gear we can travel with as we are the "backpacks & chicken bus" style of travellers. So where I'm at thus far is I have decided that we will take 8 wt & 10 wt rods/reels (fresh/salt lines??) and I need to streamline flies (with the caveat as we've only fished for inshore salt species previously). Can anyone please provide me with some specifics as to what cross over flies to cover as many species as possible). It might not be possible so we might have to limit our outlook. For the most part we will be trying DYI on Lake Nicaragua but might have to consider hiring a guide and are open to that... If anyone has any info on DYI that would be appreciated as well. Any other fishing info would be appreciated as well Thanks, P
  3. Contact Gil! He had it done last year and it was well worth it! P
  4. Kevin, seeing you are are guide in the region you are probably have a certain amount of bias in your perspective, as well... ;-)
  5. That was my point!! And I think Jason's as well!
  6. Too bad that doesn't hold true for fishing guides in this province!!
  7. LoL! Don't get me started!!
  8. Sorry Marc I was referencing the few reviews on here where they didn't last too long. But the Simms warrantee is pretty good so they should stand by any issues! P
  9. Unless you believe all the crappy reviews, then you should go with the Patagonia Ultralights!!
  10. Wasn't purposely giving attitude (hard to convey via this medium)! Sorry dude! P
  11. As stated is a recent (similar) thread.... Alpine Shoe down in Kensington, not sure what the turn around will be now that Gary is semi retired...

  13. The 1st and 2nd gen, yes, the latest, definitely not! Patagonias are narrower for sure! P

  15. Roast, As a FYI, general feedback on the Foot Tractors is that they are SUPER heavy! P
  16. Hmmm.. Photo's of it being taped?!
  17. Where was this?! Not around these parts!!
  18. Al, I have Patagonia Ultra Light wading boots with rubber soles and only use them with studs. Let me say that the rubber with studs has NEVER felt as safe/secure as when I used felt soles!! For the Oldman drainage go with felt! They do make the Ultra lights with felts and I would definitely recommend the Patagonia boots as they fit my foot WAY better then Simms or Korkers. I had the original Korker Guide boots and REALLY liked them with the BOA system. LOVED the changeable soles! To bad the last few incarnations have WAY too much volume for me!
  19. Unfortunately, I have heard from quite a few people that had stuff stolen from their attached garages!!
  20.
