CanuckCamper Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 Well.. there's one positive to this whole thing, only 5 more games with MacT as head coach. Mark my words here and now.. If the Oilers do not fire Craig MacTavish at the end of this season (I'm assuming they're not making the playoffs yet again), I WILL OFFICIALLY BE A FLAMES FAN NEXT SEASON. Steady steady now. Let's not do anything that rash. Quote
birchy Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 I just heard a blurb from the game the other night from the announcers.. I guess one of the Oilers radio personalities was doing a segment talking about what's going on, if MacT will be fired, etc.. All of a sudden he got a text message for Darryl Katz that said simply "MacT is not going anywhere". ... Yay! ... Quote
jimbow Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 just wanna say thx to the oilers for beatin' the canucks. the gagne goal was a thing of beauty. luongo looked pathetic on it. always good to see a goal like that live. Quote
birchy Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 Can you change that to 98 please? 98 is my number.. and the last time I checked, noone in the NHL wears 98. ... ... Cause they know it's MY number. Quote

Hate to burst your bubble Birchy, but according to my sources, two other players used 98: Brian Lawton Minnesota North Stars 1984-85 Dennis Seidenberg Carolina Hurricanes 2006-07 Anyway, don't let BBT lure you over to the dark side. The flamers will be out in the first round again. They'll have only missed a week of golf compared to the Oilers. Terry Quote

Wanny Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 there's important work to be done on Friday and Saturday. Terry Ah yes. Two wins would be a nice gift from the Oilers to their fans living in cow town. Quote
darrinhurst Posted April 9, 2009 Author Posted April 9, 2009 Ah yes. Two wins would be a nice gift from the Oilers to their fans living in cow town. As long as they win on Saturday. I'll be at that game. Quote
fishfreak Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 Nothing would make me happier than the Oilers playing spoiler to the Flamers. waitaminit, actually, if the Flames lock up first place, they'll have a better chance of making it further into the playoffs, which would mean more water to myself. pkk Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 My Dad Is Gay Little David was in his 5th grade class when the teacher asked the children what their fathers did for a living. All the typical answers came up -- fireman, policeman, salesman, etc. David was being uncharacteristically quiet and so the teacher asked him about his father. 'My father's an exotic dancer in a gay bar and takes off all his clothes in front of other men. Sometimes, if the offer is really good, he'll go out to the alley with some guy and make love with him for money.' The teacher, obviously shaken by this statement, hurriedly set the other children to work on some colouring, and took little David aside to ask him, 'Is that really true about your father?' 'No,' said David, 'He plays for the Edmonton Oilers but I was too embarrassed to say that in front of the other kids..' Quote
trailhead Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 Craig MacTavish RIP When the owner says "Craig is my man." You know for sure he'll get the can. So the Oilers fans have got their wish. There is no more Coach MacTavish. Quote

But we really know it's Lowe and not MacT so look for season #4 without making the playoffs. Birchy I called the FanAttic and cancelled your jersey Quote
MMAX Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 Finally that's taken care of. Now it's time for all the Olier fans to jump on the Blackhawk's bandwagon and hope they kick the crap out of the godless flames. Quote
