BigFoamy Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 I cant fix my waders, theyre not leaking on the seems, water seeps through the material at this point. I cant really afford new ones and havnt purchased waders in over 10 years. Can i get a good pair for 300? back in the day that would get you a plastic bag to wear and Im guessing prices havnt gone down!! For anyone that knows, what is the best cheap wader out there?? doesnt matter how much money Ive spent in the past they will leak eventually. Quote
Muffin Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 I have had these for two seasons and been pretty pleased with them: http://ca.wholesalesports.com/storefront/fishing-apparel/waders-boots/duraweave-chest-wader/prod264710.html One leak in the sock but easily patched and good to go. I have a feeling it was a result of the previous boots though and not the waders themselves. Quote
trailhead Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Bought a pair of Caddis breathable waders a couple of years ago. $99 then ripped them on some barbed wire first time out but patched that easily enough. Have been good since. Quote
bigalcal Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 I'm on my third pair of Reddington's. I paid for one pair, the other two pairs were replacements. Having said that, they seem to have improved the quality and they are more durable. Obviously they have a good warranty. Quote
Current Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Simms Drift or Headwaters look like decent quality. Have heard good things about the newer Redingtons as noted above. Quote
agbff Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Give fish tales a shout... they have some deals on at the moment. 1 Quote
BigFoamy Posted November 19, 2013 Author Posted November 19, 2013 Thanks folks. Gotta spend a bit to get good quality but have to have them. Quote

Speycaster Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 There is a pair of Patagonia Rio Gallagos for sale in the buy and sell section here. A great wader if they are your size. It does not say sold on them yet. I have the same waders and I love them. Quote
bmckenney Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 I have a couple of pair of LL Bean breathable waders. It's easy to buy online, figure out sizing and shipping isn't bad at all. And their customer service is excellent. I'm a repeat customer because of their service. But I suppose buying waders online isn't for everyone. Quote
DonAndersen Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 BigF.... I really do sympathize with your wader woes. For years I wore Redball Featherweights. They cost me less than $50/pr. and lasted 5>7 years. When I heard they were going outta business, I bought 5 pair figuring that would last the duration. I didn't figure on lake fishing so much and didn't buy enough extra large waders. So in the past 2 years I've spent upwards of $400 - more that I'd spent in the past 50 years. Gotta love this breathable crap! Regards, Don Quote

Was at fishtales as well awhile back, always good product and service there. Quote
Flyfisher Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Best bang for the buck? Simms. Properly fitted and cared for a pair will last you for years. Quote
