  9. like other have mentioned! going a reel size is not a bad thing. i have all of my sticks one reel size too add a little more backing capacity aswell as a little more line retrieval on teh pick up~!
  10. if you want too make short casts and not use the full 30+ foot head for most of your casting you will want too overline your rod with a 4wt or buy a more aggresive front taper were most of your flylines weight is in the front half of the weightforward(shooting) head
  11. the creek is a sweet rod! great for everything small stream! but still has some power to cast in teh wind and a good distance compared too some softer 2wts! i ove my 3wt for all that is dryfly bt still break out the 2wt for small stream stuff!
  12. lmao good read! thanks for posting!!! and al that is too funny.. i dont think u fit that description tho! sorry!
  13. u betcha dude they do sink more thats forsure! and ive seen a few break.. but i think that takes a decent amount of wear!
  14. good on ya dude!!!!!! thanks for sharing!!!!!
  15. nothing new wanny all lines crack... jsut the way she goes!!!!! like jack pointed out it has something too do with the casting.. airflo lines seemt too be the most durable out of any other imho.. they crack te least and last the longest.. useto love my SA stuff when i was a kid but i havnt fished any of there lines in 5 or 6 years now.. rio has a few sweet tapers too but airflo is slowly taking over almost all of my lines with teh exception of a few loop lines...
  16. well it seems that spring is almost here! saw a bumble bee last week.. still hoping she stays cold and we get a ton more snow over the next month or two too help our summer water levels but ya never no! heres are some of my favotires from the bow over the last few months! enjoy...

  21. i use the mustad tube hooks in 8's n 10s i believe.. nice little hook and really sticky! they are really heavy thanked too so havnt had any problemos bending.... i like the braided wire for my stuff.. its pretty think and super strong so i dont halfto worry about abrasion wear n tear and it fits through the eye of some pretty small hooks
  22. sad too hear doc! i had a cat tear through a few of my grade 1 capes a few years back..... almost lost it when i found the several hundred dollar mess..... life goes on.. but it doesnt feel good for a little while thats forsure! tightlines dude!
