Flylines You Are Happy With!
maxwell replied to brownonbow's topic in General Chat - Fly Fishing Related
for me nymphing the bow/ hopper dropper and any single handed spey casting and overhand shooting line i love would be the loop opti stream and airflo 40+ my top two dryfly lines would be the loop opti stillwater and the rio gold! for streamers the only line i use in 3 different sink rates would be the loop pike booster!i find tips on floater sink if u dont take care of them.. on any line! if u dont seal the end water will seep into the core!! its not the lin emakers fault! even after a hour or two of fishin it will sink! -

im with jj here.. i dont really fault kippers play at all.. how many games has he kepts us in a 2-1 (3-1 with a empty netter) till we get the empty netter.. every couple of games he does let in some weaker goals.. but he dosnt play positional as much as tries too track the puck.. if he cant see it he dosnt really react (like other butterfly golies who just play angles regardles if they see the shot or not) with that style he does let in some goals that make u want too smash teh tv! it can be frustrating too lose a game like we did against colorado and a few other teams this year.. but kipper has won us more than a few games this year and will continue to do so.. by far our most consistant player all year!!! imho he is worth teh cash money!! if kipper went down te flames would be F*CKED so why harsh him so much? -
The Lines Bought In Vain Club
maxwell replied to chiasson's topic in General Chat - Fly Fishing Related
hey dude like others mentioned they are just a cheap line.. i have fished those lines for a little while in highschool not a bad line for 30 bucks.. personally i havnt liked any of the nymph tapers or the pike and bass tapers from a few brands... but mainly for speycasting with my single handed lines -
it is a pretty dope system dude.. it offers a great spectrum of fishing thats forsure all in one line!
-
here are two pics of danhunts flies i will be using in the poll..
-
nicely done dude! thanks for posting!
-
nice ties everybody!!!!!!!!! danhunt u think u could get a larger pic? if u want u could email me one and i can resize the sucker! sunskyhooksnwater@flyfishcalgary.com

i got mine set pretty tight.. for nymphing the bow and streamers on the bow if the fish is in teh 18-20" mark and spunky its gotta work too pull a 20 foot run.. andis going too be bagged if it takes another run... any of the smaller fish will more than likely fall off or pull the hook cuz they cant pull more than a inch or two of drag.. i like it that way!!!!! i only wana touch the gooders anyway! and its better for the little fish too not really get played, tired, or touched..... thems the future generations or lunkers!!!! the most important!! for bull trout and big streamer fish in the mid too high 20's i got it even tighter..... same reason...... i dont want a big fish running way down a smaller river possibly bashing into rocks...... i like slapping the plaming rim too pick up slack line at my feet but i dont palm the rim during the fight for more drag!
-
i will be there with whistler n uliwon in the whistler flyfishin booth again!!!!! should be a gooder!
-

Are Bass Tougher Than Trout?
maxwell replied to Garlicmarshmellow's topic in General Chat - Fly Fishing Related
i agree with you on this one rick! but in some cases like on this board some things need too be pointed out not only for the person who hasnt had much knowledge on fish handling but for all who also read the thread! its a shitty game in smoe ways because one person who didnt kno gets flamed as other lash out but it seems that the average fishing pic posted latley has bin better for the most part..ive bin grilled two back when i was first learning tha basics and major parts of fish handling and every year try too take it too another level.. i think what happens needs too happen and those who get the finger pointed out need too understand the upside of the post.. and as a mod help with taming down the flames! -
birchy nailed it!!!! unless there is a peticular taper you wish too cast u could bring your own... but each booth should have lines too toss on the gear they are selling!
-
thanks yall! typical caddis larvae sizes dude!! all depends on teh river u fish! cant go wrong with 14 n 16th
