it all depends on what nymphs i tie! super clear water i like a dull hairline dubbing but mostly for the bow i use ice dub! dont use pheasent tails anymore just brown ice dub, peackock icedub for prince nymphs and the grey(cant remembver the name) for my hairs ears n so on... but having some antron or hares ear dub on some patterns can be key.. the crow is a winter stream that i feel not too sparkly nymphs at times (right now after a summer season with tons of anglers) can help no trip out some ofthe skittish fish!
best midge larvae ive found is size 16-22 sjw on scud hooks n small or fine wire.. coat em in cement... dont even need thread!!!
for pupae i like theo ne hawgstoppa recommends i like mine in 14-22 in olive light brown black and grey!

fish will be feeding at all spots Eric! u will get fish sitting in the main channel feedig, fish stacked were the channel feeding in the main current and the side channel drop off! same with the main seam were the two currents collide in the backwash in the
middle and fish will also feed at the end of the channel were hawgstopper would be standing too feeding on whatever flows down the main current ad kicks out of the bottomg o the side channel!! I would start at the bottom and fish E C B A D in the order
dutchie pretty much nailed it! don't forget that you can fish nymphs to in he slack pockets along shore aswell! larger nymphs and darker ones are the obvious bets!! just make sure too work the water really well!! if iu only have a few inches of visibility you halfto get it within that range!! if you more Than a inch or two away from he fishes face they won't even k ow your flies are there!!
