  1. #-01 it takes 100 years to learn to fly fish, I'm only at 62.
  2. Yay Dutch, but just like a lot of things, it's not how it looks it's how you use it. But I've got two more of those full, the Doc superfly an't in there.
  3. As per the title of this, it's about streamer boxes, not dries or other flies. I have strayed slightly as I think of this as a soft box.
  4. Its the double speycast for floating and sinking lines.
  5. My controls / Edit Avatar Settings
  6. Don't own it by brother in law has one, used it last year in BC lakes, loved it.
  7. But... if you aren't catching many or large trout cleaning you net and equipment is essential. Often you will pick up an evil water sprite or water witch (you can tell by the smell). Both will give you evil luck keeping away the friendly fish gods if you don't clean them off your equipment.
  8. I have no attachment (Hardy) to any reel (Hardy) that would (Hardy) be silly (Hardy) to grow (Hardy) attached (Hardy) to a (Hardy) reel.
  9. Baking soda in in water will freshen it up, just soak it for a bit. Works nice on waders etc. I put an open box in with my hardy bag and vest for the winter freshens it up.
  10. Builds a a great bamboo Spey rod.
  11. The boxes are great for boats but for wading I like the Maine Guide waxed-canvas fly wallet.
  12. Wonderful heathery fish.
  13. Very good post mvdaog thanks for writing that. Well said.
  14. yes post some pictures, and give us a shout when you get out here. Buggers Mudders and a pattern of my own...
  15. Would be nice, in the older regulations there was a good description of fish. Quick test here.
  16. Yep some of us are busy swinging dem flies. Taking the Meisr and Uniqua for a wade last night. Browns and rainbows, browns and rainbows.
  17. Read the Bow River reports section.
  18. Any of these rods will do the job nicely. All by name makers and they will all perform admirably for you. You'll find as many comments on rod brands as vehicle makes. I can vouch for the first four, as I've tried them all. Mind you my old fiberglass and bamboo work just as well. Don't be swayed by comments or advertising, It's always nice to find a shop that will let you lawn cast or try out to see if it fits your style. The waters you listed will benefit from fishing strategy, more that brands. -----------------------------------------------------------
  19. Looks like a great stick, hoping I can test is out when you are up here next.
  20. The wolf is now managing the chicken coop.
  21. I buy mine at The Fishing Hole.
  22. Wax on the thread and done. Never had one unwrap.
