  1. I get home at 4AM, so 8 AM is a bit early for me. So I won't be there. Sounds like fun. Perhaps if Brunsie wasn't going...............................!!
  2. I have Shaw but not WFN. I was looking into Telus and found this article; http://www.myvancouverhomepage.com/telus-tv.htm
  3. I missed the last two 'cause I was "you know where". This year I will be "there "as I don't go to "you know where" 'til the following Saturday..so there!
  4. Too bad an american network didn't broadcast this game. Americans missed out on some great hockey. None of my American friends have called to rub it in. (Thank God) No one saw it and no one cares. A real shame.
  5. Just wondering if there are any junior age US players in the NHL?
  6. Sorry for straying from topic but if you are an outdoorsman and dog lover I would recommend "Merle's Door" by Ted Kerasote. Explains dogs and their relationship with man. http://www.kerasote.com/
  7. I am looking to purchase the Headwaters pant next year. Any feedback on these? http://www.simmsfishing.com/site/headwater...:66.222.255.119
  8. I was watching a "New" episode of "Cold Case" (CBS) last night and the story was based on the death of a minor league hockey player. They refered to great smaller hockey players and mentioned Gilmour, Fleury and Nigel Dawes. One cop said "Dawes? New York Rangers" and gave a disgusted look (Philly based show). I can't believe that an episode filmed this year would be so inaccurate as we all know that Dawes has played for two teams since the Rangers. There were so many other inaccuracies as well. I can appreciate "artistic licence" but giving a guy a penalty shot for being the victim of a dirty check was too much. I was surprised that the producers couldn't find a hockey fan that would clue them in. Just protecting "Canada's" game.
  9. As Lynn says, ". 1 minute before you take it off the grill you take a bowl of melted butter that has fresh garlic paste blended into it and brush it on the steak." Another good butter to finish steak with is: Blue Cheese Butter Combine 1/4 c softened butter 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese 1 clove garlic minced 1 TBSP sliced green onions MMMMmmmm! Great on burgers too!
  10. Most Flames "fans" couldn't spell Iginla before 2004. Kariya may get in but not early. At least he showed up when Canada called. Iggy stays home
  11. I have seen some awesome low scoring games as well, but unfortunately in the day of the salary cap a team usually has a limited number of scorers ( see Flames) and a bunch of players that just avoid getting scored against. It can make for some boring hockey.
  12. Soccer scores=booooring. Wins are what's important but the league wants scoring!!
  13. Islanders scored on their first 3 shots!! Tough to compete with that kinda goaltending.
  14. They have no one to put it in the net and no one to keep it out of the net!
  15. I really like my Cloudveil's. Very light and comfy, great for wet wading. I am enjoying reading the feedback on the other boots tho'.
  16. I bought a package of "Glue brushes" at Michaels to apply Aquaseal. Work great!
  17. I've actually looked in to this hobby and bought a book on it from Amazon. I haven't tried it yet but I will be near a Michael's today!! A questiom.....Will it set off smoke alarms?
  18. I read the same article. A car got broken into for 2 sugar packages one night when I was there!!!
  19. I was in Yosemite National Park last weekend and the coyotes there were brazen. They were openly walking around even with prey in their mouths. The bears were a bigger concern at the campground though!!
  20. It certainly isn't much of a river. It must be a bit better in the spring. It seems a bit dried up right now and pretty tricky to cast in!!
