  1. Done. It does not take long. Take the few minutes Guys.
  2. I keep the fish in the net submerged, then a fast pic out and back, but now if I even take a pic, it will be in the net in water only.
  3. Couldn't agree more Ralph. Still prefer the old burm launch for the added safety factor and softer current after the big bend. Look fwd to seeing you out there.
  4. The launch near the weir has to be repaired, as it drops off so fast and hard off the end, I have seen boaters catch their trailer axle on the bottom concrete blocks. As well the old burm launch added an extra safety factor, in that if you have motor problems, you can drift down to the upper weir launch and pull out.
  5. Wish they would rebuild the old burm launch at Johnson Island Carseland.
  6. Thanks Professori. Always happy with crestliner, but will look G3 way.
  7. I remember Tsunami. I think they were even wider. Would go motorized.
  8. I agree but heavy anchors can get quite stuck in muddy bottoms as well.
  9. My current 16 ft and former 14 are welded aluminum. For rivers only way to go in my opinion. Thanks
  10. If you dont mind my asking, what size boat do you have to go with 30lb anchors. I like the flush mount idea, but have only used the original arm type.
  11. I may consider 14 crestliner as well if one is for sale. Just tossing ideas as the 16 is nice but between getting old a crotchitty may want some easier stuff to handle.
  12. Howdy Members. Does anyone in the Membership own a Marlon Jon? They were at the Sportman show, ( didnt make it in to see), May consider sizing down from a 16 ft crestliner to a 14 ft Marlon. They have a very wide floor and beam. Still lve lots of deck space and hopefully plane faster. Would appreciate any opinions out there. Thx P
  13. Can anyone suggest a good Lodge on the Miramichi, or by experience did you just take a motel and fish it. I hear some of the lodges have private water.
  14. Since some time has passed since this post was started, I though a lot of new members have joined FFC.. Would be nice to hear some more from the newbies.
  15. I expect to pretty well target Pike, Walleye, Lakers, Greyling and Whites when up north. Saw what seems to be a decent place in Yukon for $2000 for a week.
  16. Have any of you fished the Yukon, and is so what water and lodge? Thx
  17. From what I heard on radio news, they are looking at funding up to 7 more access points.
  18. I will fish again with my Dad, in the next phase.
  19. Okay, so I have to ask. What trip are you knocking off the bucket list?
  20. I am compiling info on western Canada drive or fly in fishing camps for future use,(I Hope). If any of you have info, feel free to post or PM me. I would also accept info on camps in central and eastern Canada. Thanks in advance. Paul
