Never been near Bear spray, but I have been near tear gas when a canister was accidentally discharged. Not fun and I would think similarly uncomfortable. I guess no shower for a couple of days Dave.

Does anyone know about how much a 30 lb pyramid anchor is worth. I have researched but only find 10, 15 and 20 lbs.

Have an auto/manual inflate shoulder chest pfd. I am a strong swimmer and always use it. Mine is Bass Pro model. Mustang is good.

A buddy who is a mechanic said go for it. If anything may lube the valves and injectors.

Would also be very fast hypothermia. Correct me if wrong, but isn't it quite shallow there? I am aware in some cases you do not need much depth to drown.

Didn't get out as much as i wanted and have 2 gallons of 2 stroke gas oil mix. Want to get rid of it and am prepared to drive to carseland, back trailer in launch and run motor till dry, but curious if anyone has other suggestions.

I grew up around a pool, and was a lifeguard. I still have the utmost respect for water. Things can change in a second. I have pulled 4 people out of the Bow in 3 incidents over the years, 2 of them near the weir by Carseland. Only 50 yrs old. Bless him. I guess he died doing what he loved. I told the wife a few times, when I go, it will be from a monster trout head butting me to get off my fly. I salute our past fellow fisher, and the man who tried to save him.

Want to go to a lake tomorrow for a few days, but concerned about wind. Would consider going north instead within same time frame of driving if there is a trout lake and less wind. Also should hopefully be within 1/2 hour drive of a motel as I no longer have a tent or camper. Any input or suggestions welcome.

When I was a Kid, young adult and pipelined around the Brooks area, the fields were full of all types of game birds. That was long ago. I am sure they are still there, but not in the same numbers. Deer and antelope everywhere too.
