  1. PM Sent What, The Bow has fish in it !!!
  2. Hey Doc, your Grandpa and his flies are great treasures. To fish to that amazing age is wonderful.
  3. My better half and I just came from a birthday party for a friend, !00 Years Young. Sharen is amazing, and when she speaks I am all ears. Can you imagine what she has seen and lived in her life time. It is a great and valuable experience to be around her. If I make it anything near that age,( Mom is 93 and on vacation in Califoria, and sharp as a tack), I hope I have a clue. On the other hand, my beloved Uncle is old and has memory problems, but every morning his daughter tells him he won the lottery, and he starts every day excited and happy. I'm not that old,but let's here it for we old fogeys.Regards PL
  4. Thanks Dave, A friend guides there every winter and summers in Kimberly. Sounds interesting, What is the cost of living like over there?
  5. I guess if you end up where you really want to be, the 1% is worth it, if BC is the place.
  6. Thanks Terry, beautiful area but dont you find the wind to be too consistant? Otherwise Love the area.
  7. Lots of great point. And the Yukon would be amazing or Labrador.
  8. Would likely go south late Oct or early Nov as friends do. The Bow may keep me here, hard to leave that water, but in a smaller town like High River. I have thought of Hefley area as well, but so many lakes and rivers near Kamloops and Kimberly, and so many nice northern locations. Crowsnest is nice too but so flippin windy.
  9. Asking your opinions, if you could retire in any city or town in Canada, that had lots of fresh water fishing around it, where would you go? For now I am thinking Kimberly, Kamloops, or maybe up north in one of several provinces. Remember, the hook is fresh water fishing. Thanks
  10. Hi Terry, is that just for Toronto or the whole province. Starting to plan retirement, and want a summer home in Canada and a condo or small home in a warm climate, Mexico or Panama. Likely stay to western Canada but will consider east, so long as it is near good fishing pref fresh water, and according to the boss, not too far from a community with a hospital. (Don't know if she is psychic)
  11. Howdy All, I am aware that when you purchase a home in BC, you pay a 1% real estate fee tax. Does anyone know if any other provinces have this tax as well? Thanks
  12. Have an original water paint, and several prints. Diane is my favorite, and she and Dennis are the nicest folks around.I have no doubt I will buy more for the new man cave.
  13. Nice Work
  14. Great News Peter. Thanks
  15. Hi Carroll, are you looking for dry or wet flies or both?
  16. Gary B had a great seminar on nymphing on Friday.
  17. Drop by and support Brent Schlenkers cause, a draw in supprt of dealing with PTSD, of which Brent recently lost his son to. Luckily our troops get treatment for this, and yet there is very little support for our police forces. Also stop by Diane Michelins art booth and welcome Dennis back from his battle with stomach cancer. They look great. Sat in on a very good seminar with Mr. Borger at the helm. Good info, and great humor during the presentation. The Big Burger and Poutine were way too good. This year was the least I have ever spent, and still had a good time. Took a FF virgin along, and he is hooked. Enjoy
  18. Yah, but can you imagine the fight they would give on a 10 wt
  19. Quite interesting. I would blow at that.
  20. Thanks Don, Very interesting.
  21. Howdy FFC Folks, I touched on this re Magic Jack earlier, and want to expand. Leaving Telus for many reasons, and I am aware of Vonage, Shaw, and Magic Jack for phone providers. What do you members find re the provider you use, and are there others you folks feel I should investigate, and what features do you like about them? Thanks
