  1. That depends on what species you want to target, and what type of fishing you want to do. Streamer fishing for big browns and rainbows in the Bow for instance.
  2. That's unfortunate hopefully nothing too valuable was taken, but you are right don't leave things in the open. I had the same thing happen to me and they took my wife's backpack she left on the seat. That was at my nephews basketball game at Southland Leisure Centre.
  3. Pale ale was my favorite when I was there in August. But they were down to just a few brews, with some new batches due in a few days from when I sampled.
  4. Yeah the Oldman outfit is pretty good, and they have growlers to go too.
  5. Think that the upgrades to the sewage treatment plants on the Bow might have something to do with all of this too?
  6. Yeah the people that own vacation property at the Castle Ski Hill, and the community group that owns it. Are probably okay with that action plan.
  7. Can't fish most of the high country streams now. Closed due to the fire danger, kind of killing two birds with one stone. No access for anyone doing anything. They are doing helicopter patrols too. For those that think they can get away with something.
  8. I spent the past few days fishing in the area, and the further downstream I went the higher the temps. Got to 65F but the upper reaches were in the high 50's. The fish were very selective and very feisty. No problem with exhaustion, I think the low water levels are making them suspicious.
  9. I think that they should have signs like they do along the Highwood and other rivers that give a brief breakdown of the regulations.
  10. I concur was out yesterday and the water temp was 63 F at the hottest time of the day. And I have seen the water level lower than this in past years. I'm no hydro-geologist but perhaps the big snow we had this past winter has given a nice groundwater recharge.
  11. Ah man now everyone will go there!
  12. I found a high end bike in my alley a month ago and called the bike shop where it was purchased. Turned out the woman that owned it lived a couple of blocks away and it had been stolen out of her unlocked garage. Those thieving bastards are everywhere and due to the economy unfortunately they are desperate. Glad you got your stuff back.
  13. Fished the Castle yesterday, temps were in the mid 60's
  14. Yeah they are there for sure I caught one about 14 too. In Fish Creek Park.
  15. 58 F in the Highwood today.
  16. Now all we have to worry about is the drought this summer. You heard it here first.
  17. If it was green and in a plastic bag it was mine. Was wondering where it went.
  18. Nice
  19. Well checking on the snow pillow and it's way up there. Little Elbow is at 500 mm snow water equivalent and the maximum normal range is 475 mm with the minimum 350 mm. Most of the other stations in the Bow drainage are about the same in terms of snow pack. From the looks of the melt, it has only started. So; Dear God, let it be a cool dry spring.
  20. :clapping:You guys are both on the same page.
  21. I agree with Bcube call RAP. it is in the regulations and I have had a few poachers tell me what they said to you. When that happens I hit the speed dial on my cell. Bought a nice reel with the reward once.
