  1. Sorry to hear it lads. Honest to GOD this was a huge fear for me once I realized the COVD thing was here for whatever duration. What I can't figure is where do people get the $$$ to buy much more than groceries, mortgage/rent, utilities fuel etc. I lost a very good job, my company truck, and had to buy a jalopy to have for around Airdrie as a second vehicle. I'm not wanting sympathy because many of us got the same deal out of COVID, but the last thing I need to do is borrow a bunch of $$$ without a steady or no income, and CERB/EI does not get it. Better money managers than myself, I guess. Sorry I realized I went on a rant. Walk the extra 20 minutes and hopefully find some trout and peace of mind. I hope the streams co-operate soon and the bugs.
  2. Mcloved the post. May I come next time please. Cutty lover, dog lover, rum lover, r n r lover........
  3. Hi Yawl, Wasn't quite sure where to post this idea so chose this spot. While driving past the Fitzsimmons Brewery today in Airdrie and thinking about how long it is until the cutthroat fishing begins, I thought perhaps there may be some like minded folks in Airdrie that would like to meet every so often over the long winter for a brew and some flytying. With that said I am not a tyer but would like to learn how to tie some basic flies. Thus if some one in Airdrie would like to teach perhaps we could at least discuss to see if the idea is even realistic. Also was thinking of approaching the brewery, if we think this idea is a go to see if we could meet at their place, have some pints, socialize (BS about our flyfishing ) and tie some flies. If anyone is interested please PM at kelly.may@evolvinc.ca Thanks, Kelly May
  4. Thanks, I think my fishin buddy Pete Kamin and myself no ya from the Rose n Crown days. We will stop by and buy ya a rum next weekend if we get near ya. Thanks. I found the area in question. Pete's camp looks to be just on the good side of the cutoff near Pincher Cr MD.
  5. Where does it say campfires our now allowed in campsites? Thanks for any info. Have annual cutty Classic/rumdrinking extravaganza planned for next weekend, and a real campfire is a total bonus.
  6. Anyone have any idea on what amount of precip it will take for province to open up access to "You know where" or is it a write off for the year?????? Just wonderin
