that just made my day right there

I was going to mention something about the waste at there stores during this "contest" but figured it wasnt the topic to do it, now I am going to!. Last year 2 of us stopped in there before an out of town delivery for work during roll up the rim. We ordered our 2 drink's and got 6 cups!!!!!!! When we asked them why we are getting 6 cups when we only ordered 2 drinks the guy told us they dont have any medium roll up the rim cups left so he gave us an extra large cup so we can still roll up the rim, And the drink is also to hot for just 1 cup so he had to put another cup over it. 6 CUPS FOR 2 DRINKS!!!!!!!!!!! absolutely rediculious!!!!!!!!. I emailed a compaint to there head office about the amount of waste they produce by doing this, but the reply I got back had nothing to do with what I wrote about.

I am going to say all of them. And I dont mean just the ones in Calgary either. They have the most rediculious system for order taking and filling I have ever seen. I went to Tims one night for donuts here in Lethbridge, there were 3 people in front of me, and it still took 15 minutes before I even made it to the till. The same person takes the order and the money, fills the order and then has to go around and make coffeee as needed and do other things. Wouldnt it be way faster if 1 person took orders and another person filled orders. Or 1 person takes an order and as soon as they pay and go to fill it another staff member steps up to the till and helps the next person in line? Instead of 1 person doing everything. Most of the time I couldn't be bothered with the wait. I dont need a drink or donut that bad to stand there and wait for 15 or 20 mintues just for a coffee, and I kind of feel sorry for the people that do..... not that I drink coffee anyway.

OHHHHH Thats tough to beat right there!!!!!!!!! -
That right there makes the most sense of anything I have read in this thread. No swivels with more knots to them, no weak points, you can still easily add or remove weight and it shouldnt slide down post the little dab of glue.... Seems like genius to me!!

OKay so if you dont use the winged version then what other style is there? I have seen the singless stuff but how do you get the shot off your line then as there is no wings to re-open it? Do you have to cut your fly off and pull the shot off every time you want to take off weight?

Pfff Valentines day!!!!!!! What a load of BS. Nothing but a made up day by corporate America to get people spending money again after Christmas. If this day actually meant a damn thing it would be a holiday!

No kidding, this winter so far has had more snow then any that I can remember in recent memory. Usually Lethbridge spends weeks at a time with no site of snow in the middle of winter which then allows me to get my bike out and ride. As of this winter we have had snow on the ground since mid november and every time a chinook comes it lasts for a few days till the next cold front comes and pukes snow on us again (case in point, today). So here I sit, starting to get fat from lack of physical activity and i dont even want to ice fish as its to damn cold!. Was going ot head to the Duck Lake Derby in Montana this weekend, but -20 without windchill for tomorrow is a little to nipply for me. I am sick of this *hit already!

Need Advice On A Rod/reel Combo
WesG replied to bigalcal's topic in General Chat - Fly Fishing Related
Althought I will not comment on specific brands as I have only 1 truly high end rod in my arsenal. For the dry fly fishing on the waters that you have mentioned I see absolutly no need to go with a 9' rod and I personnaly would'nt go any heavier then a 4 wt. I usually fish a 7'9 4 wt on these rivers and really enjoy that set up -
Private lessons from the lady herself.... You would be wise to take her up on that..........

So much for a friendly board, I see a jet boat thread has just started
-
HUh, thats odd... I havent touched my stuff for at least a month now, but there never seems to be any more flies sitting there then there was before. Maybe my lego men are just lazy?

The shrubbery in the front bumper is a real nice touch... are the thieves still in hospital? serves them right for stealing it, Karma's a bitch

Yes however, for things like dental insurance its right there in your insurance providers booklet the amount thay cover and how much you have to pay, they dont wait till your dental work is done and tell you they are only paying %80. I was in an accident as well last year and my insurance company paid the whole hourly rate of shop labour, not just up to a certain amount, so i find it very hard to believe that "thats how it works". I have never heard of this and knowone else i have talked to has either. She already got quotes from 4 different shops in edmonton... all are $80/hour.

My sister was just in an accident and the insurance company informed her that they only pay the first $50/hour of shop for the repair. She has to pay any additional money/hour for shop labour out of her own pocket In this case its $80/hour, so she will have top pay $30/hour. Anyone else ever heard of this one? It says absolutly nothing of this in her policy. I have many shitty insurance company stories of my own, this is just the most recent.

Orvis Helios Rods & Sa Sharkskin Lines
WesG replied to thenewflyfisher's topic in General Chat - Fly Fishing Related
I am still skeptical -
pffff, even Lethbridge is colder then that right now!!
-
Imagine it, it happens
-
WOW!!!! why the hell cant I catch 2 fish at once? Those shots are amazing
-
I will wait for along term review before I decide to make that purchase, something about the texture makes me think that my rod would end up needing all new guides.
-
Althought dollar wise my loss is not as big (being a younger investor and all), so far I have lost around %10

A little somthing to add to this, you will all enjoy this read http://www.eclips.gov.ab.ca:80/fpweb/fp.dl...1ZcwwOkQZQ43obN
