when you say dings, is the paint damaged? I have a great experience at the Dent Clinic on Blackfoot if not paint work is not needed. I had an unfortunate run in with a log sticking on on a trail.

It is funny, in my original post RBC was the company that saved me a pile of money. Ran a claim through them for vandalism, they were great. Even got my deductable back because they caught and prosecuted the little jerks. I think the bottom line on cost anyway is shop your insurance every few years. We payout a lot for this service through our lives and there is money to be saved. I will be shopping them again next year. Glad you found someone you are more confortable with. I have the tendency too to take my money else where in situation like this. Cheers James

Seems like you are not happy with this company in general? do you have a good record? If so call around plenty of competition in this racket..and I mean racket. You might even save some money. I shop it every two years..saved $1200 annually a few years ago when I switched. My company at that time did not want to reward me for a good record.. See ya! having the same issue.. heard a mix of Borrax (cleaning powder) and icing sugar. They take it back to for the boyz and lady to chow on.. we will see if it works. Fire idea sounds good, bylaw guys might not agree right now

great tie, love dubbing leaches. There are so many great dubbing colours to to choose from. This is my go to streamer pattern for lakes

Just got a 12' 36" floor and love it. Had it in the kootenays all last week fishing chronomids. Plenty of room and very stable for one. Had a buddy join me for some casting in the evening to risers, again no issue with stability. I do think the 36" floor minimum is needed, I steered clear of the 32". If you go to 14' you should be able to find a 48" awesome way to fish the lakes! James

X2 I also agree with other comments that high end rotating vice is not needed. Just something that holds the hook well. My opinion forget the kit. Choose a pattern you use and pick up the stuff needed. Then more to tie in differnet sizes and colours. Perfect that pattern and move on. A woolly bugger is a good place to start. You can use heavier thread #3 which won't break as easy till you learn tension and thread control. Last thing, You Tube!! absoulutley packed full of info and demonstration WARNING...TYING FLIES BECOMES AN ADDICTION.... Have Fun! James

Only two 9.6' in my line up at this point. By choice they would have been 10' but deals presented themselves. Love the longer sticks. Only time I myself prefer something shorter when tossing drys from the boat. Other than that I see nothing but benifits

Ahlstrom Air - Nordegg - only way to go! Great experience and much lower cost than some of the others. I believe we paid $1600 for the whole bird, 4 guys and as much gear (beer) we could fit. Some of the others charge per passenger + $1.50/lb gear (beer).....you can imagine how quick the cost gets up there...

I am a Rio fan...but I have had serious trouble with this line in cool conditions. Major memory and coil. Now I am talking April and Oct, however this is some key lake time for me anyway. Once it gets a little warmer it performs fine...like I said I am a fan...but disapointed on this one.. Looks like they have a new one "camolux" for 2011, same sink rate, but different taper. Maybe they have improved the performance.
