  1. Can't wait to see guys walking around with that thing hooked on belt...lol With the limited knowledge I have on the product I can't see it replacing the Iphone. Might be a good alternative to those mini low power lap tops.
  2. Deadly setup, well done!!!!
  3. I have been quite impressed with battery life on my fishin' buddy. 3D's and you are good for 8hrs easy. Then I just charge them in the truck over night. Not sure how the kicking from the belly boat might cloud the signal off the transponder (I think thats what they call it). Also agree with the comment above.."I only use it to find the bottom ,temp" This is true for me also, it is just a tool to find drop off's and other structure. If I wanted to stare at a screen all day I would go to work! Big asset when fishing chronomids
  4. Nice work! Some great looking ties
  5. Good stuff dude, Keep at it! Have you landed a fish on your own tie yet? Wicked satisfaction
  6. Thanks for the info man, love the look of the ostrich gills. Going to give it a try
  7. What an amazing area that is. Fished Sunburst Lake a few years back, had great dry fly action in the bays on large Tom thumbs.
  8. lol, nice! Sorry no experience on the Nor-vise, but a buddy just picked one up and he loves it. On another note let me know if you going to put your other vise for sale as I have interest cheers
  9. Nice fish man!!
  10. Nice tie, what kind of hackle?
  11. Is it a requirement to use all the types of material provided? Of course using all would generally mean that you have been more creative, but is it a rule of the contest? Also a big thanks to Fish Tales, great idea!
  12. Okay here is mine, love this truck. Nissan Frontier 06' Bought this sucker new.....I know big loss on the ticket price, but I wanted what I wanted and they were tough to come by used at that time. Almost got her paid for and plan on driving it till I have to grind out the rust on the wheel wells! This will be my bush buggy for as long as the wheels are turning! Great power out of the V6 while still carrying good fuel Eco added the canopy and Yak carry box for more gear room. Plan on adding some swivel spot lights to the roof rack with a rocker switch on the inside. Probably a winch some day
  13. Sorry to hear about you experience. Unfortunately A#$holes not matter were you go. Good for you on keeping your cool as I know how difficult that must have been. Hopefully the karma train runs this guy over! Again good on ya for showing your son what nature has to offer at such an early age. To many kids are just plugged in these days.
  14. Spikes can also be handy on the safety end. either korker inserts (if you have those boots) or the ones that wrap around your boot. Tighlines! Love winter fishin'
  15. I agree with you "responsible pet owner" almost any animal will do damage if not taken care of properly. Whether dog, cat, bird etc. I also do not envy LL. People on there own without pets can do enough damage. I too am a cat owner and have never had an issue with our guy. I own now but when I did rent I also approached the concerned LL the same way as you have mentioned. Damage deposit is $750...what will satisfy you..$1500?? I told him whatever within reason as I new the money would be returned when I moved out as there would be no problems. overall not an easy task to rent and be a pet owner. My thoughts... a jacked rent is a rip!
  16. Totally agree, I am sold on Korkers. Spikes with rubber for the winter (no platform snow shoes), felt, felt with spikes, tread for alpine lake walks. I will be getting the Vibram inserst shortly as my felt is on the way out. I have however blown out a pair of laces too, but no big deal for how often I hit the water. You can go up one more model to the wire laces if you like. as for models I destroyed my cross current korkers in one season (lowest end), again though heavy use. Moved up to the streamborn boots 1yr not lick of wear besides the laces. great part about the whole thing is as I wear the boot out through use, the different inserts felt/spikes etc can be used on your new pair.
  17. Agreed. Most people would also complain about the ticket to at least one other friend or party..double the message!
  18. Great idea Tungsten!
  19. Back to were you bought them man, squeeky wheel gets the grease if you know what I mean.
  20. Nice fish man!!
  21. Not all goods are on sale. Items are stickered. I would only say about 10% of stock is reduced. Still worth a look, 25% is 25%
  22. That is too bad. I have enjoyed my visits and chats with the staff there very much since moving to the south.
