  1. Good stuff Craig. Give me a call, we can hook up for a tie night. Hope you are feeling better
  2. Nice!
  3. Nice vid! Love the sig! Fry Brookie Fry
  4. Love this pattern. I too tie it with the just the red bead, primarly for lakes though, additional bead would be helpful on the river for weight though. Got a great tip off Phil R sight which I use on this pattern. Take an old tooth brush, remove the brissells and glue on in there place the rough side of a piece of velcro. Awesome tool for pulling out the dubbing while causing no damage to thread or wire
  5. Have a Demon rod and reel setup, love it. Harris Sportsmail has been great to me on my purchases. No issues so far with the cartrige system on the reel, really well made and designed It would be great if they were still made in the UK, but there it is..the way of the world these days.
  6. never seen perch that big! Love the second pic, very nice!
  7. Have had the Nokian for 55K km now on my frontier., not an issue... they ride nice and handle all conditions well. They come with a 80K warranty. I myself have been very please with the service as Kaltire 42ave. Blew two of the factory BF Goodrich (long trail my ass) the first 2 months I had the truck and ta boot through the side wall so could not be repaired. They were completly worn by 45k KM.
  8. not suprised..probably the last place I would go for fly gear. mind you I am in the bermuda triagle of fly shops so making the trip up north even with good service might be difficult. Main reason for my post....just got that Hard Demmon reel you speak of and love it! Spool system is great. They seem to be hard to find locally. I took the risk and ordered online, very pleased. If you can't find one local drop me a PM and you can check out mine before ordering online. Cheers, James

deadly pics man, love bank release low to the water shots
  10. Beautiful fish buddy, well done! What did you take him on?
  11. Hey man, I would go with a 6wt if I could only choose one rod. Good for streamers and nymphing. Your right about run off a comin'! I myself have not fished the NW, but have the understanding the river fish's better Glenmore south tightlines!
  12. What... your pontoon did not come with oars??
  13. The price is right! Did I mention that I have a gear habit to support......
  14. Agree 100% with this statement, but home province should not determine who pays and who does not. I would gladly pay $100 annually for classified water in B.C and would support the same in Alberta. Again with the expectation of having my license checked more than 1 a year!! More CO`s on the beat man. At the end of the day I strongly disagree with the fact B.C targets Alberta anglers with this large fee...and feel a specific injustice to Alberta residents with properties owned in B.C (even though I am not one of them) as they pay an annual BC tax bill. Bottom line for me is, although I feel it is unfair, $20 to fish those waters is worth it x10....the quality of the fishery and surroundings is amazing!. I paid $7.50 for a pint the other day...nearly fell of my chair!!(ya ya call me cheap but I am a Co-op gold guy) My main issue is the attitude I get from a great number of B.C anglers just because I leave across an imaginary line.....back to my previous statement. WE ARE CANADIANS...and I am proud of it.
  15. B.C er's, Alberten's, Saskabushyins, Ontarin's.......sigh... it is too bad we could just not all be CANADIANS!
  16. Great read. I just had two twin girls arrive this week..... Can't wait to show them the way....
  17. 1st one love the mag, keep up the great work!
  18. This is my understanding as well. You don't ever want to fish them static, always want to keep them on the move. I have had a number of fish on them this year with no issues as of yet....if I do notice a trend as you mentioned Don I would definately discontinue use, not worth it. Cheers, James
  19. fish cat kick boats are a great way to fish smaller water. I have had one for years with no trouble, love being able to swing fish right between my legs for release. I do reccomend picking up some spare valves to keep in the pockets. I have had some slow leaks, not a major concern but best to be prepared. Most likely do to me putting to much pressure in them. Fishcats I believe run about $160, extra valves $5. My opinion you can't go wrong. You can pay more for one but at that point like Uberfly said you may as well go to a pontoon.
  20. Ya that's what I buy...damn expensive but they look great.
  21. Nice! Huge fan of boobies...been actually having some great success with them this year ......all jokes aside I think floating flies are a must have in the box for stillwaters. Took one a floating backswimmer fished on a fullsink last trip out to the lake. Did you buy the boobies ready to go or did you cut foam to shape?
  22. Stopped in at Ogden, maybe 24" of vis, not to bad at all
