  1. I too thought $750 was mild for this kind of behavior +$2000 sounds more reasonable to me.
  2. Nice new stick man! Great fish too...spring has been good to ya Lets hook up this week for an eveing fish
  3. Happy birthday Mike....crab for dinner by chance?
  4. I would reccomend bringing a pump. As noted elevation as well as when you put it in a cold lake you can lose pressure. Not that it would be enough to cause a real problem but it is nice to have a ridged boat Edit: I took from your comment you where going to leave the pump in the truck..thinking I may have misunderstood you
  5. Right on dude! Glad the river has been good to ya.
  6. Nice fish Andy!
  7. in my experience your standard trout flys will be just fine. Grayling are an great dry fly spcecies, they are eager to rise!
  8. that is exactly what I do
  9. I here ya man, did not say it would be effective....just what I heard was the focus. Totally agree about enforcement...they spend money talking about creating new ones when the should spend it enforcing the existing!
  10. Right on Dude, Congrats! I have twin girls on the way myself.
  11. It was my understanding this law was primarly put into place for Sea-doo's as there speed and often the pin heads driving can be a deadly conbination. They can't say they are just for Sea-doo's so they must say 12' and under......doubt they are targeting the guy trolling spoons with a 4hp. Not that you could not do some damage with 70' house boat!! Either way the test is online and pretty cheap....not that I have bothered myself
  12. Nice line up. Every tried tying those dragons with foam boobie eyes? Makes for an interesting presentation
  13. This very true in my case. Have tied and boxed more flies than I will need on the Bow for 3+ seasons...and don't get me started on chronomids. Thing is needing them has nothing to do with it for me. As Max said love to get new material, experiment and create new things! Tying for me has gone way past functional use... For me it is that I enjoy both the act of tying and the satisfaction of success on a new pattern. X2, again as I am not buying only what I need, but material I want to try out....at the end of the day I still spend less in a month than some works colleagues spend going out for lunch in a week. All about priorities I guess.
  14. Welcome dude. Try fishing the south end of town you may have better results. Not to say there is no fish up north, but more in the south is my understanding. Fishin' is fishin' man! As long as you are following the rules and proper etiquette it is your choice how ya land them! Just my opinion though, give that fly gear sometime. Once you get it you won't be disappointed!
  15. Deadly Dude! Love the Bear!
  16. Can't wait to see guys walking around with that thing hooked on belt...lol With the limited knowledge I have on the product I can't see it replacing the Iphone. Might be a good alternative to those mini low power lap tops.
  17. Nice work! Some great looking ties
  18. Good stuff dude, Keep at it! Have you landed a fish on your own tie yet? Wicked satisfaction
  19. Thanks for the info man, love the look of the ostrich gills. Going to give it a try
  20. What an amazing area that is. Fished Sunburst Lake a few years back, had great dry fly action in the bays on large Tom thumbs.
  21. lol, nice! Sorry no experience on the Nor-vise, but a buddy just picked one up and he loves it. On another note let me know if you going to put your other vise for sale as I have interest cheers
  22. Nice fish man!!
  23. Nice tie, what kind of hackle?
  24. Is it a requirement to use all the types of material provided? Of course using all would generally mean that you have been more creative, but is it a rule of the contest? Also a big thanks to Fish Tales, great idea!
