  1. I never heard of Edge but have have also heard positives on the pro lok. When researching a bout 18 months ago I bit the bullet and ordered some sawyer smoker bandits and some glad I did. Effortless and expensive but they are getting their use.
  2. Thanks JA Found a Rising Lunker 38" handle aluminum at BRT and it was the older version so 100 bucks off so sprang for that yesterday. First float of season tomorrow so hope it gets dipped and baptised . My wife already jinxed it saying I don't get fish that big!!!!!
  3. Hi all. As title states what do you like for a net from a boat? I am using a drifter on the bow and need to upgrade. Was thinking on a clear rubber mesh with something telescopic. Was trying to stay away from the $300 ones but could end up there!!!!!
  4. The trunk is pretty rough in many places. I haul my 40 foot toyhauler down through the gap and up to Liv many times during the summer and every goal is not to break something!!! There would be a lot of bounce with the rack but if you take your time on the rough patches you would be fine. A truck with the bike pad on tailgate would be ideal but the fat tires are heavy. I did this yesterday and best option was putting bike in box and then the front fork over the pad and tailgate.
  5. Bought a fat tire ebike a few weeks ago but was in Mexico over break so only assembled and got out riding this past weekend. Put 50k on in SE Calgary all through fish creek park and up and down the paths on both sides of the Bow. Love the thing!!! I think it would work fine getting into certain areas for fishing etc. Great weather . Bought a smaller bike for the wife and a non fat tire version and hers was great as well. They were both great on the paths and off road dirt and gravel packed. Obviously the fat tire will excel here. Rode to work this morning and left the f350 home!!!! I use the assist and peddle about 50% as well depending on the terrain. Get the biggest motor and battery that you can. I have a 750 watt hub a 20 amp battery. Best of luck.
  6. Shout out to Iron Bow and Gianni who took care of me! Smoker bandits on order!!! Come on BOW!!!!!
  7. Hi all Inquiring about ordering some sawyer oars. I looked into a few options but wanted to ask here. I know our dollar is going to hurt me but was also wondering if ordering would take on additional fees or brokerage charges? Anyone have any advice or experience on this matter? Appreciated. I do have a local shop looking into it also for me. Thanks
  8. Usually very good service from my experience. Galvan just sent me a handle kit. The islander was the drag issue and I think I had to pay 30 bucks. Way back, Ross took care of me. I have not had to send in my Hatch........ hope I did not jynk myself!!!!
  9. For the price we pay for reels send that back to be serviced. Just had to do that with one of my Islanders. Not sure of your issue but have heard of that before. Best of luck.
  10. Looking at buying some new oars. I have a 16 foot skiff hyde/premier and enjoy the boat and have had for 3 seasons. Floating the Bow tomorrow!!!! The oars are 9.5 feet, carbon fibre with the diamond shape paddle but really heavy!!!!! Probably going with some Sawyers and asking if anyone here uses the Smoker bandidts? like dislike? Am also looking at the square top style for counter balance . Probably going composite but really need something lighter than what I have. Any input appreciated. Tight lines!!!!
