A new Edmonton supplier for flies and more.
walker1 replied to fsa313's topic in General Chat - Fishing Related
I ordered 30 flies to throw out some support. You get what you pay for and ordered some that I don't tie often. -
Can't leave Calgary until noon Wednesday and was curious if anyone knew how crowded the CG was with a long weekend ahead. You can't reserve, which is fine, but with two young boys fishing it is always an ideal spot. Any info appreciated. thanks

No have receipt if needed. The frames are 225 and lens choice was over 400 with the extra on scratch resistance *hit and all that. You are welcome to try also and if interested we can come to an agreement. I will just use them for driving if not. Will make a deal to a fellow maritimer!!! These are expensive. My 5 year oakleys were 440 with the second set of lenses. Also have Smith years ago but were older technology and very heavy.

Own both also and the MJ are nice but after fishing the crow this past weekend with them I prefer my Oakley flak with the amber all hour lens. I have both shades but tough to beat the amber IMO. paid 680 for the MJ only 2 months ago. if interested make me an offer and they are yours.

Rocker Recliner Choices
walker1 replied to walker1's topic in General Chat - Not Fishing Related (NFR)
Thanks for replies. The lazyboy I looked at has a lower lumbar setting that inflates. The IMG does not. Both are around 2000.00 bucks so shopping and researching. -
Looking for information on chair mentioned above. Due to back issues I will spoil myself. Lazyboy and IMG are two possible choices. Spending that cash on a chair I am asking for input and opinions. Anyone! Thanks

"dry" Camping In An Rv-Heat Questions

Tough to beat a true deep cycle like a Trojan group 31. I just bought one for my fifth wheel and expensive at 240 smackers but .......... I think this would spin the fan a few nights for sure. 2 6 volt is series is the best. I am a bit spoiled with a Honda 3000 inverter but we travel a lot and I like the idea of boondocking anywhere! Always good deals on kijji. A honda 1000 would even chage your battery but I know you said you wanted to avoid the genny. Good luck. -
Hi ral tried decompression for 8 treatments and it did nothing. seems that theses are the same. Probably works for some. thanks

My symtoms are still quite severe leg pain and sciatic down left leg. Second knife job was 20 days after first and doc took 50% of the disc out. This was at L4-5. Now the disc above has a bulge! very frustrating

Champion Generators From Costco

Check the noise ratings if possible ( decible). I have a fifth wheel and own a Honda 3000is. It is fantastic but expensive. The 2000 w as mentioned will probably not start an AC especially at higher elevation. The honda has eco throttle and is quiet. Only downfall is the 150 pounds but I made a dolly with wheels. I see them listed at times used for 1400-1800 bucks. -
Natural Gas Fireplace
walker1 replied to Saltamontes's topic in General Chat - Not Fishing Related (NFR)
I have 2. I did my basement myself 5 years ago and the unit I have is a Heat N Glo. It is very good. One thing you want is a non standing pilot.............................Meaning............................the fireplace does not need the pilot running. Flick the switch and it lights and so does the flame! Should save some $$$$$$$ over a standard unit with pilot on. good luck -
Anyone know a welder around Calgary that could do a small job? Need my fifth wheel raised. Thanks

Thanks Tungsten. I also want to avoid the RV dealers hence the post. Have you done the brake adjustment? Seems like a simple task: jack up the trailer, find the insert and crank up til tire can't move and release until it will????? maybe a PM
-
Where do some of you get work done? Need minor stuff but would rather leave it to the pros. Brakes readjusted and possible 2" lift needed. Thanks

Anyone Here Dealing With Sciatica
walker1 replied to robert's topic in General Chat - Not Fishing Related (NFR)
Hi One week later and results are slow but to be expected. All my research states the nerve will take a long time to repair itself considering I had this for 4 years. Walking everyday and not returning to work til April 11. No meds now for 4 days and plan to keep it like that. Still sciatica and backpain but again, I see this as normal. Fingers are crossed..................can't cross toes at this time!!!!! -
Anyone Here Dealing With Sciatica
walker1 replied to robert's topic in General Chat - Not Fishing Related (NFR)
Hey Tim The good side to that day was we had beers at 9 am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plus, tylenol for me. Anything to make it through the day of fishing. I recall we did not complain about the fishing!!! We will have a few days lined up in August as we missed last year. Not expecting miracles today but am feeling a bit better today than yesterday. Not a pill poper but thank God forr the Percacet............. I know it will take time but after 4 years I think I can claim to be the patient type.
