aww crap. I forgot about this post. I just got back today. Played at a rink in the SE i dont even know which one. I had my 2 boys 13 and 14yr old so we didn't go to hard but we had a lot of fun. Played at a little pond in Okotoks too.. was fun.

Full gear NOT needed... just skates and a stick.. it's a lotta fun. Full geared goalies would be sweet

Hey all. Im gonna be in town from 26-29 or so, have some hockey planned. There's 5 of us that are gonna lace up for sure... if anyone else wants to join in some fun friendly shinny type hockey at one of the outdoor rinks in town, lemme know. I usually go to a rink around 40 ave and 40st somewhere I dont know the address but if people are interested in meeting us I'll GET u the address. We'll basically be there every night till they shut the lights out...

sadly, this might end up being all we can send in a greeting card soon.............. we've taken the lord's prayer out of schools but allowed the schools to supply our kids condoms. anyone else see a problem here? society sucks.....

I think we have it all summed up right there. It's been written that there are phases of a flyfisherman's evolution. I have my own, have read some slightly differing ones too. But in the end, you end up back at that favorite stream, struggling to tie on a fly in the faded half light of the canyon....

I think he's right. The older I get the more I realize... that I could care less wether or not I catch a fish, or how big it is. My fishing = spending time with old friends and making new ones. It's waaaaaaay more about hanging out, than the fishing part of it is just a huge bonus as it's an enjoyable pasttime.

I third this notion. Merry CHRISTmas to all. Was great to meet a great many people this year, and have some time to fish this year. I feel blessed to have fished with and met as many of you as I did this year.

Lots of open water. From Leitch down to 507 is all fishable, though some holes have ice in the best fish holding areas... there's enough water to find a few fish in... Between myself , GGP, and lonefisher we managed 4 'bows and a white. Tough, tough winter conditions. Slushy anchor ice on the bottom of most runs, floating slush to contend with on top, line and guides icing up all day, hell even my sjw was an iceberg most of the time. Tough, but my one fish made it worth the effort, just to say I did it!

Do Oilers fans really think there going to be able to keep that team together? Face it... every player gets good, gets some years under their belt and some NHL experience, turns in a free agent, asks for a big contract, the Oil say no, and then.... BUH BYE... It would be nice to see a good storng oiler team to be honest... but I just don't see it. As for the flames and kipper.... anyone watch last nights tilt at colombus? Kippers stepping up when he needs to... hopefully the rest of the team can continue to play well in front of him. I can hardly blame his preformance on "kipper not being kipper".. so far this year up until this road trip, he's been on his own back there.

I think the game *is* the way is was back then. A lot closer to it than we've seen for a long time anyways. Offence wins cups now. Coupled with "decent" goaltending and some good quality D men... look what Carolina and Anahiem did? don't tell me they got to the cup winning 1-0 games... it just wasn't so.. I do agree that Kipper needs to step up... but right now the team is stepping up.. which is good to see. If Kipper gets on his game, they will be litterally invincible.
