  1. Enough that when I used to guide I made clients use 8WT's sometimes.
  2. I cant wait for October
  3. cool shots, nice edits.
  4. Unfortunately the good are usually the silent majority. I'm with you on that. God bless all the canadian **AND** u.s. soldiers out there keeping OUR land over here free.
  5. and is it just me or did Boyd and Lundmark REALLY look good tonight! smart with the puck, created some serious chances...
  6. Phew. they almost choked on it... but held on! "you can put it in the win column!"
  7. So far so good against Detroit. let's see if they can play for the last 20 minutes and finish this thing. They were starting into "flames choke mode" there late in the 2nd, with the help of a non call in front leading to detroits goal anything could happen. Boy if we think kipper's looked bad at times, Osgood REALLY sucked!
  8. I have to respectfully disagree. The flames played 15 minutes. Not two parts of a period here and some there. they played 15 hard minutes. They didnt play 60... like GOOD and GREAT teams do and until they do they'll never amount to anything. dont blame kipper for a team that lets a far inferior team back up off the mat and gives them hope. Until I see a solid 60 minute effort out of this team lately, I cant put it on kipper. He's been there when the team plays in front of him. Unlike a few years ago, he hasnt been there when the team sags. It's time for the TEAM to straighten up their act and put kipper on THEIR damn shoulders for once.
  9. Me and Cuttbow and Flyfishfairwx had a nice day on friday... will have to post a report and some pics too. I couldn't do anything wrong and ended up with quite a few fish to hand, some goofy stuff worked for me, like standing up on a bluff and casting into a pool resulted in my biggest fish of the day (near 19 inch or so). It was fantastic, warm, and fun. I'd have posted sooner but... had a booboo on the way home last night. Brian
  10. Nice tie. Those work really REALLY good in the spring on warmer days in the riffles (like, right now).,, on the Bow
  11. That's one thing driving the big rig taught me. I'll drive 13 hours in a day, and see the same car pass me 6 or 7 times, each time speeding, and passing dangerously. I figure they must be stopping to relax, take a nerve break, get coffee, take a dump becuase they did a bonehead move that caused a bowel movement, ...whatever.... and at the end of the day I got as far as they did, without making one single move that put anyone in any additional jeopordy (other than being on the road, in general). so... is the speeding and dickhead brainless moves worth your life, or someone else's? I don't think so. I've seen firsthand the horrific tragedy of more than a few people who "couldn't wait to get there". I urge everyone who reads this post to consider that. We all got a lot of fishing left to do.
  12. The only problem there should be is that everyone's speedometer is going to have slight variances. Hence, that "idiot" in front of you is going 100 in a 100 zone, when your thinking he's a jackaZZ for going 95 in a 100 zone, while at the same time he thinks YOUR a jackaZZ for tailgating him. Please don't speed people. I got a wife and 4 kids. You all bitch and moan about reckless truckers ... a jackazz in a car is every bit as much of a hazard and a threat to killing someone, as a jackazz in a big rig. 99% of all accidents are caused by cars/vans/pickups. Be carefull out there. I got a lot of fishing left to do...
  13. And OMFG there lying on the snow!!! and there pupils are centered!! ::ice fish::
  14. That's a pile o' perch there! lol
  15. Toronto installed a new technology into the puck tonight. It's called ... holy crap 8 lucky goals wow...
  16. Yes, and no. I would probably only be doing this for one summer, possibly two, while I go back to school. There's no future in driving truck. I don't know if putting the effort into advertising and popularizing another company would be in my best interests right now. I'd rather do that for someone else's co. at this point in my life Brian
  17. I'm pretty sure I'm going to guide this summer, and I am ready to start finding out how. Does anyone know anyone who is looking for guides (especially for southern alberta waters / mountain streams etc)? Please PM me. Thanks For those who didn't know, I have 7yrs guiding and had my own co. (very successfull, in fact) Thanks for your replies
  18. I'll eat there no prob. But, yes, there ARE consequences. I try and limit it to about once every couple months..
  19. Yeah the crowsnest river IS closed on saturday... yearly trout count.. um... survey... thingy... which I volunteered for..
  20. man walking along a California beach was deep in prayer. All of a sudden, he said out loud, "Lord, grant me one wish." The sunny California sky clouded above his head and in a booming voice, and the Lord said, "Because you have tried to be faithful to me in all ways, I will grant you one wish." The man said, "Build a bridge to Hawaii so I can drive over anytime I want." The Lord said, "Your request is very materialistic. Think of the enormous challenges for that kind of undertaking. The supports required to reach the bottom of the Pacific! The concrete and steel it would take over thousands of miles! I can do it, but it is hard for me to justify your desire for worldly things. Take a little more time and think of another wish, a wish you think would honour and glorify me." The man thought about it for a long time. Finally he said, "Lord, I wish that I could understand women. I want to know how they feel inside, what they are thinking when they give the silent treatment, why they cry, what they mean when they say " nothing!", and how I can make a woman truly happy."........ The Lord replied, "You want two lanes or four lanes on that bridge!
