  2. Oh my gosh!! do you realize the power you've given him!!!??????
  3. Hey man first three weeks of june is a great time to fish the BOW...... Great! streamer action, no crowds, lots of rain the fish are starting to feed hard i don't think you'll be disappointed try to hook up with members from the board to show you around. People don't have such a hard time taking people that live half way around the world to their favorite spots as long as they promise to go home.....but who knows after you get a taste of the BOW i promise it's going to be hard to get back on that plane. Another nice thing about June is it's some of our longest days light out past ten p.m. so night fishing is in full swing and fishing till 2a.m on the BOW is a little piece of magic. Drop me a line when you arrive and i'll show you why June absolutely does not suck. Edit:if your going to be here after june 16th bring the three weight thats when the small streams open.
  4. im not familiar with sea run cutts west coast or east and are they like steelhead living in the ocean and spawning up the rivers?

  8. It will be interesting to see how the economy affects the guiding business. I know that in times of economic trouble in the golfing industry it seems that there is an increase in business i don't know why but maybe people have more time don't know.

    Goodbye

I am sorry for your loss. I hope great memories will comfort you in this time of trial. Just to share as i looked at the picture even though his back is to the camera i can tell he's smiling and i pesonaly felt that stisfaction that comes from being in a beautiful place and feeling that tug at the end of the line. Thank-you for sharing.
  10. Your friend has an awesome gift. Very cool pictures.
  11. No matter where i fish i long for the Bow, a great day somewhere else always plays in my mind a second to the Bow. Calgary is an easy choice for me. I live 2 min from the river i can't even imagine moving further than i am now. If i ever move so far away that the caddis flies aren't sitting on the window screens........ please slap me and take my rod.
  12. Me and my buddies used to put cinder blocks in paper bags on the road to this day i will never run over a box or bag on the road. Those little assholes could be hiding in the bushes.
  13. R.W. makes sense now. I do remember the adds and i think i do remember when i went my first time not expecting conditions to be what they were. Dude! 70 thats sick.
  14. Ya they had a bunch of problems last year with their greens were killed in that spring ice storm and the soil out there is hard to grow in. But for a first year i think they did ok. I like the the lay out and there is lots of water but it's not an impossible course it's challanging and i like my score at the end of the day. Iv'e seen much worse first year courses. If your a really good golfer and used to golfing at priddis ya in comparrisosn it's not that great.
  15. Hey got this e-mail from a course i golf at for two free rounds of golf. It is no strings attached and legit. The courses are pretty good but very new: however the price is right so i golf there often. Thought id share. Go here for free golf www.bouldercreek.ca/friends and www.silverwinggolf.com/friends
  16. One of my favorite days fishing was at sunset on a small Alberta creek fishing for 5 inch whities rising to the dry. I like em i think of them as the save the day fish only because theyèr ussually not the target my ideal fish is that 16 to 18 inch rainbow that thinks he`s a bad ass.
  17. maybe if they enforced some catch and release regs on pheasent hunting the populations in alberta would be a lot better and they wouldn't have to spend resource dollars on restocking populations. just my two bits!!
  18. coolest thing iv'e seen this year.
  19. my buddy named his first daughter Marvel....yes after the lake and yes he fishes. Enough said.
  20. I'm a huge fan of the double streamer set up. Most of the time i tie a large clouser followed by a smaller but this spring i was showed to tie the small and then the large through the eye of the small and then when you strip it makes the small swim injured and the large chasing you can also use a large leech for the chaser the leech set up was deadly in slow water. Personally i find the double rig to far out produce a single especially in the spring and during runoff the leach trick is great in the hot summer through slow water with a slow retrieve jumping it off the bottom every third strip and letting it settle. (think leach going after injured minnow).
  21. traditionaly panasonic is "the first" with new technology in this area then the market seems to follow up the next year with technology that either matches or is better or is at a better price. I say wait a year use the camera you currently have and save some $$$ next year and see what the competition comes out with after all just cuz this is out it dosen't make the olympus or pentax any less functional.
  22. they have awesome accommodations on the hill if you have some buddies to split cost with.

  24. Happy Birthday ............I think thats how they say it in the U.S.A.
