    Solved

I got burned last time, so I ain't even gonna try!! P
  2. Having previously worked for an airline (not WJ), take them with you as carry on if you can. I did see rods come through Ground Handling & Baggage Services with no problems, but that doesn't mean it won't/hasn't happened... Be aware that you cannot take flies as carry on and they have to be checked. I think WJ allows two carry on pieces, as does AC, so if you are bringing them as carry on, tape the tubes together and the 2 are now 1 piece!! P did see an
  3. Yeah, I know, I was just busting his chops!! P
  4. So is that your actually boat?! If so, you are not really fly fishing in the vid, are you... Hmmm... P
  5. Now, now Rick, don't get cheeky... You might get censored!!
  6. Very cool Kyle! Way to go! P
  7. I'm serious! Maybe during the Aug long as I currently don't have anything planned. I'm certified in SCUBA (Padi Advanced), but have no problem renting a wet suit and snorkling... PM me and we'll make a plan of it!! If any of you drift boat guys want to float down as support, we'll suss out all the good holes for ya!! P
  8. Try a black sharpie first! But I too vote 4 character!! P
  9. I'm in, if you're in?! Lemme know... P
  10. Rare, but I'm sure there is... P
  11. James, why not try flat water first (lake community, stocked pond, etc.)? Or maybe a smaller stream (say the Jumping Pound)... As you know, the Bow is pretty much big water for most of us adults?! Good luck, and let us know where you go and how she does... Cheers, P
  12. Undercurrents on Bowness Road is an authorized clipper dealer, they should have what you are looking for or know where you can get it... Aquabatics is another water store (located across from COP)... P
  13. Yeah Deb was trying to hold back our dog and take photos at the same time (he gets so excited when the fish are on!). They were just coming out of spawning colours with orange bellies! P
  14. Here's a few more. Another couple of fish and Deb trying her hand at casting in the wind (even though in the photo it looks like glass)! The best part is we didn't see another soul both days we were there!! P
  15. Deb and I set out for an epic backpacking trip to a lake I mentioned last fall... We weren't disappointed... I have better photos but they reveal too much info as to where this particular lake is!! Peter P.S. I haven't found another back country lake with cutties this big 15" & 16" fish the first day and an ave. of 14" the second (not that great fishing the 2nd day as the wind came and slowed everything right down).
  16. Matt, I think that you need to put an "other" catagory on your survey... Unless those are the only 3 lines you are considering... As you did with deciding on a rod, you might have to load up all three, put'em on your Flight and chuck'em... If you have expereinced one of those previously, you might as well go with that one, unless you had a crappy exp. with it, then I can't help you!! P
  17. If he is interested in a regular Sage tube, and I'm interested in a Sage tube with reel pouch, then why not?! P
  18. I stand corrected... Though why did that particular rod not come with one then?! P
  19. Yeah, I don't think dentists would use this to put in people's mouths!! There's gotta be a dentist or two on the board... P
  20. All (new) Sage rods come with a standard tube! The one with an attached reel pouch is purchased separately (they sell them in different lengths, so make sure you know is your buying one for a 4 piece, 3 piece and what length for the specific rod)! If you have one for a another rod already, if it fits, you're golden, unless you are bringing a quiver with you then you need one for each rod... In that case, as I do (as many others), I have a double rod tube to bring 2 loaded rods with me, ready to go!! Cheers, P P.S. Most fly shops and other fishing retailers will have them...
  21. Lynn, Draft a form letter we can all use to send to our MLA! Thanks, P
  22. Hmmm, I can empathize with what you are trying to accomplish, but the message would be lost if there is no educational opportunity (niether party is around to explain the situation - which ultimately could be dangerous!). As FNG states, It would be WAY better if you hauled away (relocated) their entire camp!! P
