  4. Are they better the sony's with the ziess lenes P
  5. Hawgstopper (Brian) has a great deal on a drift if you are able to go on that particular date!! P
  6. Yeah I agree with all the above! EHC, Adams, (Red and Black) Humpies, micro leeches with a prince nymph dropper (sink tip) in the 14 & 16 size all produced last week up at Sunburst & Cerulean Lakes at Assiniboine PP (not with the dropper, though). P
  7. I love my 3 wt!
  8. I've heard there are issues (not 1st hand)... P
  9. Redington is ok, pretty much the same as Sage (their parent company) for turn around... Last time I went through FTs and it was about a month! If I send it in on my own I try to get someone (usually Deb's parents) to send it through the states as it's $7 (USPS) verses $20+ through Canada Post!! P
  10. That has happened to me a couple of times. Last time was when Deb and I were with Hawgstopper last summer. I even recovered my adams from the previous hook-up!! It was really cool. This cutty was feeding under a overhanging branch and it was a super technical casting situation to get the drift just right without hooking the branch. I caught 3 other fish in that run before my nemesis fish broke me off the 1st time... If I remember correctly, I got him on the 1st or 2nd cast about an hour later!! It's a total blast, especially if you can sight fish for them!! P
  11. "Barge cement" is what the climbers use for their shoes!! P
  12. Happy B-day Chris! I hope you got out to your fave cuttie spot!! Cheers, P
  13. I just picked up my Calgary, AB - FISHING MAP (Lower Bow River). It's AWESOME! It has access point details, hatch chart, insect guide, float times, flow rates, etc. All in a waterproof boolet! These are available at many of the FFC sponsor's fly shops, outdoor retailers and fishing stores in and around Calgary! Make sure to get yours! Nice work tightline!! P
  14. The Fishing Hole near Sunridge Mall may have some stuff... But the closest dedicated fly shops to the NW are BowriverTroutfitters or Hansen's downtown. P
  15. Mike, not sure how feasible this suggestion is, but any way you can take it apart, strip it and redo it?! I have a feeling you'll be waiting a very long time and it might be faster to redo it!! P
  16. I've been going on every couple of days... Seems like they only have 4 or 5 products in their inventory and nothing more.
  17. How deep is the run you are fishing? General rule is 1.5x's the depth of the water. "Normally" my swivel is at 7.5' and my 1st fly - usually a wire SJW (on a 2 - 3 fl rig) is at 9', then next fly is 1.5', etc. then I can adjust my indi accordingly... P
  18. "I knew I shoulda taken that left turn at Albuquerque!"
  19. Look at the Snowbee XSD it comes with 5 spools. Order through Courtney (Islandguy) @ Nilecreek (Sponsor) for a great deal, or Southbow (also a sponsor) if they have them in stock... I have one for my bully/pike set up and it is great!! P
  20. I hope he gives you a nice "kick back" rev!!
  21. Here ya go Jeff (and everyone else) http://www.baseloc.com/ When you get on to the main page, choose DLS and then just zoom in on the area that you want then click on it and it will highlight the 1/4 section and then the specific 16th (should be obvious). Then you can go into the AB Gov't SPIN2 site put in the LSD and purchase your title, etc. Iasgair on this site posted a tutorial on the "Redneck" board on how to navigate the SPIN2 site. Here's her link: http://www.outdoorsmenforum.ca/showthread....ight=land+title Have fun! P
  22. Huh? I don't quite understand where you're going with this?! Did you keep it?! If you didn't, please keep the fish in the water when handling it! P P.S. Probably an wound from a big treble hook.
  23. Yeah I know Taco, but another *hit disturber on here complained to the mods once regarding my language so I was just trying to be somewhat respectful... Thanks for the correction! Cheers, P
  24. That's what being a sh*t disturber is all about!!
