And I hope you choke on the whiskey!! Or at least that it causes you a bit of misery the day after. It's Canadian Whiskey after all. It probably isn't all that good. Rickr ha ha , thats just way to funny rick , i also hope i choke on the whiskey when boston scores , ha ha , and just so you know Tex , any ''Whiskey'' is good when it's free and won in a bet like the bottle i have from you , i'm really going to enjoy it more , knowing it came from you , A Big thanks , you wouldn't by any chance like to maybe put another bottle on this series , i suspect the first bottle will get killed at the party and i could always use another one from you , always like free whiskey , us canadians always like free whiskey and gold medals to sad you couldn't come over friday night as the house is packed with Boston fans , and yes i should be out fishing instead of reading all the sulking emails and posts from them poor canucks fans , Ham just for you ''CROSBY'' -

Rickr one thing i like about you guys from texas is you always think big , everything is bigger in texas as they say , even the bull crap , lets face it Rick , you have your football and baseball and basketball , but when it comes down to hockey , it's our game , has been for the last 20 years , it is now and will be for the next 20 years , the reason is our kids from the time they tie on a pair of skates dream about holding that cup and being the next superstar like Crosby , and i think you know who he is , canadian JR hockey is alive and well now just in case you forgot , he's the canadian kid that broke everyone's heart in the US last Feb when it was a final game for a gold medal , you see Rick it's something you'll never understand in our game , second is for losers , and it's about who has the heart to dig deep , them swedes just don't have it , it's been shown over and over many times , now your more then welcome to come join me on Friday night while i watch the game in HD on my 55 inch Led and it's just like your at the game , be nice as we could have a little visit , i just happen to have a nice big bottle of Ltd Edition Crown Royal that i have been saving for a special night and i think Friday night will be a special night , i just happen to win the special bottle from some loser on another big hockey game , i think if i remember it was the gold medal game last year , oh let me just see , on the bottom of the bottle it says from Rickr and congrats , Ha Ha , well still come over Rick and i'll let you have a sip while i savour the moment -

Boston can't hang with Vancouver. Not deep enough. They got their one huge effort game in a game Vancouver did not need. Reality is about to come and slap them right in the face. Or maybe stick a finger in their mouth. Whatever. thats a big bunch of crock if i ever heard it can't hang with them , come on rick , the first game could of went to boston , 19 seconds left , the second game was bostons and they blew it in the 3 'rd , yes good for van and with boston it was close but close don't let you hold the cup now back home they kicked the *hit out of the canucks 8-1 , thats what we call a bad beating , and now tonight 4-0 for boston again , it wasn't as bad a beating as they did in game 3 , but it still was a ass beating the canucks have no heart , reason is the twins , look how they quit in the 3'rd period again and left there poor goalie out to look like a loser , then tonight they kinda gave up hope again and i seen the one girly twin trying to hobble or stand , must of hurt his calf or broke his toe nail off , anyway my point is when it gets tough and down to the end it always comes down to who has the heart in it , the fact of the matter is them twins don't even come close to the way the canadians or US players play , it's been proven over and over many times , and the canucks have them as a C , give me a break i'm still saying the bruins took the wind out of them , showed them who's boss and don't mess with them on the boards , canucks in a bad place now with no CHOICE but to win game 5 , or they will watch boston dance on the ice with the cup held high up over there heads in game 6 , and brian , looks like i very well might win my bets now , and buck , you want me to send you over a box of Kleenex for the tears after that beating tonight , you must be heart broken -

X 2 , X 3 , X 4 ha ha that was what you call a kick ass beating of a game , couldn't of been any better , i like how the boys were giving two fingers tempting the finger muncher to see if he would bite them LOL that game took the sail out of the knuckleheads , they even quit playing near the end and made there goalie look stupid , i think boston will hammer them again in game 4 , boston bruins in 6 games still -
yep thats just sad , people take way to many chances with a river running like it has
-

Fishtales now carrying Simms Products , hey thats nice to know ,and a good thing , last time i was in a couple weeks ago i never seen any hanging up , and yes again a site sponsor on hear FFC , so why go elsewhere , support the local mom and pop shops guys
-
good doing some homework on you getting a deal , i'll just add that it's always good in my opinion to buy from the smaller fly shops compared to like bass pro or the big wholesalers , support them , my reason is the mom and pop fly shops will take better care of you in the long run and your just not a number , but it becomes personal on a first name base and the shops will remember you , and i'm sure if you talk with them on the price , they will help you into a good pair of waders and you'll leave with a smile you also are buying the best waders on the market , just my opinion again and some will say otherwise , for toughness and warranty , the small fly shop owners will make sure you'll always happy as they want you back in seeing them a couple good mom and pop fly shops that carry Simms waders -- Troutfitters -- downtown Calgary , ask for Chris or Elliott , And Country Pleasures ask for Mike or Kevin , they also have a big selection of Simms gear and they are a site sponsor of this forum site FFC , again just a small point with me is you don't see the great big shops like bass pro on here as a paid sponsor , $50 or $60 bucks is nothing these days , so my advice to you would be stop in and say hello , face to face makes it more personal and explain yourself to the owners of the small local shops , you'll be way better off and i'd go to guess that they will make you a deal to keep you coming back which model Simms waders you plan on buying

Hows that for rehab , ? a bit more productive than living the life freeloading and working out at our expense , work for it J YES 100% X 2

Happy Birthday Silverdoctor
dutchie replied to toolman's topic in General Chat - Not Fishing Related (NFR)
happy birthday Doc , getting close to being able to draw the CPP or the old age pension soon Toolman i remember that fish very well , i went out and got a new steelhead net '' called the babine '' for last fall on the skeena , 34 inch hoop , when i seen it , i thought of you Greg , whenever i get out with you from now on the big steelhead net will be with me for you to net my fish , that way i won't hear any more excuses -
Andrew of all the drift boats i have yet to see , nothing for looks comes close to them drift boats that the ''montana boat builders site that jay listed '' puts out , if your good enough and can build that recurve boat and have the place and time , plus know what your doing , you'll love it , it's a dream boat of mine , missed one a couple years ago for $7500 by only a couple hours , they always need more TLC , but who cares if your running a boat like that , end of the season spend a day and touch it all up for the next season , dame fine boats , just way way to costly for a new one to be built for this old guy

17 ft , even in a Carron rod , thats just way to big for me Bruce' , so with me '' i'll just go home '' , i tried a few rods this year , one thats dear to me and special is the Canadian gold medal stick , Meiz's MKS , 13'6 , 7/8wt , I caught and landed to net over 40 steelhead this season on it , everyone who has tried the stick is love'n it , throws big tips and big flies easy , i also enjoyed casting a Guideline lecie , picked it up and my first cast was pushing close to 100 ft , left me with a smile , used johnny's loop while we were up in skeena to try it out as it had the square handle , like the rod , the handle was not my cup of tea , looking forward to the new year coming and i have new rod to test drive for 2011 on the bow ,

Hi craig a drift boat for rent , i have a brand new 2011 hyde Low Pro in alum that i will be renting out this season to FFC forum members , like yourself most guys on here don't need a guide to catch fish , most just want to float the river , the last few years i'v been asked many times about a boat to rent from guys , i decided this year to get one , when i'm not double booked up it's open to you , i'll be renting it for $150 , thats like $50 a guy , where can you do a float for $50 , and i can handle shuttles for you also if needed , but save yourself some money and if 3 of you go then just shuttle yourself , and if anyone is wanting to learn to row a drift boat , i have a guy who will do a day trip with you while your at the oars , plus stop and do some fishing here is a couple pictures of my New Hyde Sig Low Pro , low sides so easy to get in and out and way easy to get around when the darn wind comes up , just email me or call and book your date , i think weekends will fill up sooner then mid week days , anyone wanting to secure dates for the season , just let me know , please pass this on to all your fishing friends thanks dutchie

bradley you can't be that busy at work as your on this site posting , you should of just had your vise at work and you could of at last tied me up my darn 4 dozen leach's you still owe me since like 6 months ago , you must be waiting to send them to me at xmas -
nice rod you picked up , just remember these old spey rods were not made for snap T's or any fancy skagit casting , you'll snap em at the joints , you can fish it forever doing nice easy spey casts , a good starting point would be a scandi kit , then weigh a silk line and get close to what you like i have a couple hardy salmon silk lines that i would let you try out , not for sale , for your rod i'd stay away from a brand new silk line as they can run as high as $250 , nothing wrong with a older silk line thats been cared for , i have some i use that are 70 years old , you can get a good mint salmon line in silk for about $100 if you keep your eye's open , or a well used one for around $40 , they last a long time , first thing is to find what you or better what your rod like's and then i'll help you find a line , great rod for skating drys on the bulkley , you'll have a blast when you hook up
-
i have had nothing but good luck with airflo compact skagit lines , tough as hell if you ask me , not saying i wouldn't try anything else as i would , i'm needing another compact skagit line and would like to hear some feedback on what else is being made or on the market that one can buy also some opinions on the best running line thats for sale , some say the new loop running line is pretty good , might even be the best , johnny had it on his new loop reel , pretty costly but he sure like it
-
knotlikely just got back from steelheading , sent you a pm , have a bunch of meiser rods and anytime now i'm free to hit the river if you wish to try some models out , or you can just stop by and take one yourself for a day silverdoc it sucked you had to work and couldn't go with me and johnny , we caught more then our fair share and took it upon ourselves to catch yours also , we knew you would understand , the fly's were killers , lets chat some day this week , also will be next year for a trip , and johnny and i already working on a new trip for 2011 ,
