  1. Mine neither I think once a decent amount of light hits it after you hit it with the light it fully cures. If there is a smell perhaps try leaving the flies in the open where sun hits them.
  2. Emergers are an often overlooked fly to fish nice job.
  3. Wow you're on to something there.
  4. Just like life, you get what you put into it.
  5. Anyone know the best place to source about a half dozen local Saskatoon bushes? Want to plant some in the yard. Was thinking of the Saskatoon Farm but they sell out quick. Would rather have locally grown instead of imports.
  6. There are times for example when the water temp climbs that I simply don't fish and put stress on the population.
  7. The only time, when a hook fails.
  8. Keep finding those oInukshuksn's on my streams always kick em over.
  9. wonderful
  10. I see most people wading where the fish are. Keep back from the bank and plan your attack. They are often tucked close in.
  11. In my younger days most of my buddies would often cook beans in the can, on the fire. Cut off the top and away you go, instant pot and a drinking cup after. Still carry a can in the back of my vest.
  12. Mmmmm...................... Bacon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  16. Very nice
  17. I think the best meal I ever had was back in the early 60 when Dad and Grandpa took me Salmon fishing on the Miramichi River for the first time. We where in a traditional fishing camp and after a full day with a great catch we sat down to fresh bread Bacon and Beans. It was pure Joy and would love to to sit at that old wooden table with the pot bellied stove roaring and those who are long gone there again talking old times. Perhaps that's part of what heaven is.
  18. Can't count the times I've brought my lunch back, If I forget to put it in my vest pack, there's less chance I'll eat it, small snacks tend to fair better like dried fruit and trail mix. Water is of course a must and should be handy always up front, keeping hydrated is the most important. But if fish are rising who need food...
  19. Welcome to you
  20. Of course that is matching a "specific hatch" not just general Cutthroat Flies. the same can be said with a large Stonefly hatch I hit, nothing else worked. They where focused.
  21. Trudes and Bi-visables are also dandy, so many choices.
  22. Cutties are pretty co-operative on dries, I've listed a couple but there is a large variety they will take. I've never found them to be picky like big browns. Been fishing CDC quite a bit lately. I am more a believer of a good presentation and a low profile with dries, nymphs or whatever fly you use. A bit of red is always a good idea. Also sticky sharp hooks and belief in the fly you are using goes a long way.
  23. Good advice Toolman welcome back!!
  24. Black Forrest Wood products.
