  1. we got 2 that where around 20" the rest where all smallish
  2. It was good once we got a boat off the rack and into the water. Everything was ready except they didn't put the boats out. Fishing was good, got lots between the three of us!!
  3. was there a few weeks ago
  4. I saw your post and went over this evening. Posted a couple pics in photo posts. My son and I are planning to get a boat and head out tomorrow after school. prolly around 2ish
  5. Sounds good, i'll take you out sometime.
  6. Im thinking you only have to take two bots at a time. over a period of the season you make 2/3/4 trips depending. On a particular day you could have yourself and three others at wherever you are and i could have myself and three others at my lake and so on. Then you switch lakes. I was going to more or less work it where i was just taking three buddies out. Anyways, there been around 115 looks with two comments that arent mine so I'm guessing it wont fly anyways.
  7. Yes Im sure they would all require a person with a membership. Thats why we would need people living in lake communities to step up and take people out. 4 lakes = 16 or however many there are, including the membership person. I would commit to 4 trips, taking 3 different people/per over the course of the season. Would have to cap the number as each person will have to fish each lake. We get boats for 2 hrs at a time at Mckenzie so that would be the time slot there, it could very from lake to lake.
  8. Nice!! looks like it prolly isn't that hard to tie as well.
  9. What about a Community Lake Tourney? I believe we have lakes and people looking for fun. 4 man trips, 2 per boat kinda thing. head to head, total numbers and size?? different lake per week or month?? I could do Mckenzie lake, i believe russc is also a mckenzie lake guy and may be interested. Could maybe do an out of town overnighter, drink some beer eh Anyone interested? I know it was tried on the river like a "match play" scenario but, dont know how that ever worked out. I would be willing to give this a shot if people are interested. BF
  10. I was going to say syncline as well. Last time I group camped was there. it was pretty good.
  11. I know its just a Prince Nymph but, it took me this long to make it look rightish, wings are a tad long. Anyways, thank you this is a great book, not only for tying mergers but, for a lot of different techniques. Ive had it for awhile, dusted it off today...
  12. or on the river at all...
  13. What a beast!
  14. I hate to beat this thing to death but, no one including yourself should have to avoid that part of the river because the threat of violence towards yourself. This guy doesn't have the right to dictate anything. You don't want violence, thats cool, I'm with you but, look what you witnessed. Not everyone has it in them to avoid those situations. Ive personally never fished down there other than floating by in a drift boat. Its never occurred to me to walk down there and prolly never will. Reading these stories is bothersome. The fact that people are being scared away or threatened isn't right. Sounds like whatever he's doing is working, you wont go back. Others have also openly said they would avoid that part of the river. Thats cool and all but, if wont go there because of this guy and his dogs, thats not right. I would hope anyone going down there and having a bad experience would call it in to the proper authorities. If the stories people are posting are true? Just saying, done!
  15. No Pelicans yet.
  16. Ive already mentioned getting a group of guys together, see what he does then. THIS GUY IS JUST STRAIGHT UP THREATENING PEOPLE. This guy is gong to end up getting himself in a lot of trouble, Theres one story after the other. EVERYONE THATS HAD OR SEEN AN INCIDENCE SHOULD CALL TODAY! This d-bag is prolly on this website. This is enough of this guy!!!!
  17. Theres some really good spots north west of town as well. Carolines really nice and small. I had a place in Sundre for awhile and loved it out there, tons of fishing. Between red deer and Calgary there some really nice spots just west. Just saying.
  18. My go to rod was a 6w GLX for long time, broke it 4 times. The process has changed over the last 10 years and become much more expensive (go figure). Haven't had to use them in awhile thank god. I would call Dave at Fish Tales for any answers. I've always kind of gone threw them.
  19. Yeah for sure man. The problem with this site is that no matter what the "file is to big". I dont like using photobucket to post. I'll give it a go.
  20. Fort Macleod (pop 3117), Longview, Nanton, Claresholm, Turner Valley. All good places. Not a fan of Black diamond myself. High River and okotoks are prolly to big.
  21. I'll have to stick to photo bucket, was using my phone. obviously it didn't work
