  1. Love the logo. The old ones played out, should change it too.
  2. awesome buddy. thats exactly what i need.
  3. If you're coming here to work you may want to go somewhere else. Everyones losing their jobs, theres no work here.
  4. All sorts of awesome going on there
  5. I didnt go this year, 1st time. To be honest, the fly fishing community here is very small. I've pissed some people off along the way. The last 3 years Ive gone, I swear Ive caught attitude from some of the local guys that think they know me lol so I'm done. Fishtales has everything I need and its just down the road and it doesnt cost anything to get in Murray, thanks again for tying with my son last year, it would've been the only reason we came this year. BF
  6. Beauties dude!!!! Love the rod, the "old guys" lol!!
  7. I was looking at a Simms model at FishTales yesterday. They aren't cheap! Anyways I like the holster, seems like a good set up.
  8. Im thinking this is a perfect reason to go check out the new cabelas store
  9. All jokes aside Ive gone in over my waders three times in the last two years. Scary *hit!! Im 47 now and still think Im young but, know theres stuff i can't do that I used to, not nearly as risky either. Crossing water is one of them. All three times I fell, a wading staff would've saved me. I know it would have. 100% gonna get one, next purchase!!!
  10. You couldn't have brought this up a week ago? I would've put one on my xmas list!!
  11. Great topic, been thinking about this for awhile now. Will def grab a collapsable the season up coming. Perhaps a deal at the fly fishing expo!!!
  12. licensed or not of course you'll get people that are below standard. its everywhere you look and customer service is a thing of the past, it doesnt exsist anymore. That said, it should be like other business's, you should need a business license. Like being a golf pro, so easy to get a pro card but, most of these guys are just average. When I was a member at a particular course here, I can guarantee you that myself and 30 other guys where better than most of the pros. I watched people sign up to take lessons from these guys and it was painful. That said, they got their card and this is their job now. Its all about background info and word of mouth, do yourself a favour
  13. Wasn't a Facebook prize if you could read!! You know the answers as well as I do, hence this discussion. Anyways dude you're not well intended where I'm concerned so why don't you just leave me and my kid alone.
  14. You can't start up a business without a license, period! Why should guiding as a business be any different? IMO, not being licensed takes away from the legitimacy of the sport. Im surprised that its not regulated in someway, everything is, why not guiding? Its a business! It just seems so flagrantly asinine to let any jo bob with a boat to do it. I dont care what you're argument is for not being licensed, its wrong. If its a business and you're making money, you need a business license. Cro-magnon man can't argue that!
  15. My son won an auction basket this weekend that contains a half day guided trip. He's super stoked to say the least!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. My boys like to go, they get stickers and what not.
  17. Im gonna say 31.5-32, mine was 32 and was a well past the the 1st eyelet, thats what I base my answer on. Was a sage but, a completely different rod. I haven't seen a beast like that since. When I told the story I said she was 31 because i wanted people to believe me lol!!! Was a long time ago and one of the forum members here netted her for me. I distinctly remember him saying "this is the biggest fish Ive ever seen come out of the Bow river"
  18. As a casual observer WG, you are the only one being crusty, just saying. Rule of thumb for me is 9', that said I will adjust if i have to. Im kinda with monger on this one, I just wing it. Been doing it for awhile now and just go out and fish. Manage to slay a few along the way. I buy mags for patterns. Flyfisings like hockey, to many people over thinking it. Back to the basics yo!!!
  19. Boobies! First time tying and and trying. Great fun!
