Hwy 40 Squatters
bigbowtrout replied to BurningChrome's topic in General Chat - Not Fishing Related (NFR)
This is great news!!!! I would still like to see a pay to play system. Force folk to buy a random 14 day camping permit. This will need to be displayed on each trailer. Then set up zones so you would have to buy a permit for the zone you want. After the permit expires you cannot buy another permit in the same zone or the zone next door. You'll have to be at least two zones away. Or be away from a zone for 14 days before you can return to the same zone. All funds collected go to enforcement and running of the program. I hate to see more Gov but once the resource has been abused for so long then something has to give. My 2c -
I might just break out the old gettoblaster, lawn chair and cooler and rock my speedo bankside while skipping rocks.

Reach out to my Brother. He was looking for one as well. -
The bend near Spray Lakes Arena is good, and where the Jumping Pound dumps into the Bow. Also I see a lot of guys fishing just upstream of the #22 bridge on the South side.

Use a line in angling equipped with more than three hooks (e.g., three hooks, or three single-hook lures, or one three-hook lure). Use a lure in angling with more than three hooks as part of it. Use a hook with more than three points on a common shaft. http://www.albertaregulations.ca/fishingregs/general-regs.html -

Lethbridge would be a good pick. Only an hour and a couple min to the Crow. Even closer to the Oldman plus you have some very good options South of town and even across into Montana. Happy Wife happy life. -

Maybe look into joining the TUC Oldman chapter. Huge wealth of info for your area. -
I was lucky enough to pick one up this last spring. Don was even nice enough to show me the shop and walk me through the process. It really gives you a lot more appreciation for the amount of time and effort that goes into each rod. I hit the Oldman with Bobloblaw and on my first cast with the new rod I hooked into a nice Cutt. (Steve has pics ) Nice little Brown from the Crow

Anyone know of any with a private outdoor hut tub? -
Florida Keys? Hawaii? Bahamas? Flights to Houston are super cheap right now. Maybe you can find a deal out of there. And flights to Key West seem to be good right now but that would be a TO flight. Look at YYC to Houston, Houston to Key West. Might cost a bit more but you might save on a hotel in TO. I was thinking of hitting Kauai again but on my own. The bones are big and don't swim in schools but if you know what you are doing you might do okay and there are a couple local guides around. Also they have trout and bass on the island. It would be more of a hang and chill trip with some fishing added in. Flights are not overly bad and using AirBnB you can find some decent lodging. Also car rentals are cheap if you use www.discounthawaiicarrentals.com Good luck

He had a trip up for bid on a local Cochrane facebook page. One lady out bid me for a full day guided walk n wade. She got it for $150.00 Shoreline then contacted me asking if I wanted the trip since I was the second highest bidder. I thought maybe the winner back out so I said sure I'll take it, but then I thought I should ask why I was offered and he said it was because she never contacted him or paid. So out of curiosity I sent her a message and she replied saying she had met with him on Tuesday (two days earlier) and paid him. So if I go by his social media presence I would say the dude looks like he loves to fish and fishes his faceoff. But if I go by his business practices I would say something is not 100% right. I hope I'm wrong and your Son has an awesome day.
