  1. This is great news!!!! I would still like to see a pay to play system. Force folk to buy a random 14 day camping permit. This will need to be displayed on each trailer. Then set up zones so you would have to buy a permit for the zone you want. After the permit expires you cannot buy another permit in the same zone or the zone next door. You'll have to be at least two zones away. Or be away from a zone for 14 days before you can return to the same zone. All funds collected go to enforcement and running of the program. I hate to see more Gov but once the resource has been abused for so long then something has to give. My 2c
  2. I might just break out the old gettoblaster, lawn chair and cooler and rock my speedo bankside while skipping rocks.

  4. Darn phone froze. Nice one Sage. Enjoy the float. Trevor is a great guide.
  5. Make sure to check it out and place some bids. (I'm also sure he would love a few more items to auction off) http://flyfishcalgary.com/board/index.php?showtopic=23695
  6. Reach out to my Brother. He was looking for one as well.
  7. The bend near Spray Lakes Arena is good, and where the Jumping Pound dumps into the Bow. Also I see a lot of guys fishing just upstream of the #22 bridge on the South side.
  8. Time to match or beat my donation. http://mssoc.convio.net/site/TR/BikeTour/AlbertaandNorthwestTerritoriesDivision?px=1292843&pg=personal&fr_id=4894&s_locale=en_CA Giddy Up!!!!
  9. Use a line in angling equipped with more than three hooks (e.g., three hooks, or three single-hook lures, or one three-hook lure). Use a lure in angling with more than three hooks as part of it. Use a hook with more than three points on a common shaft. http://www.albertaregulations.ca/fishingregs/general-regs.html
  10. Lethbridge would be a good pick. Only an hour and a couple min to the Crow. Even closer to the Oldman plus you have some very good options South of town and even across into Montana. Happy Wife happy life.
  11. And we'll end this thread on the above positive note.
  12. Troutfitters is the local Loop dealer. Maybe touch base with them.
  13. Those who live in Castles shouldn't throw stones into the wind or something.
  14. Maybe look into joining the TUC Oldman chapter. Huge wealth of info for your area.
  15. I was lucky enough to pick one up this last spring. Don was even nice enough to show me the shop and walk me through the process. It really gives you a lot more appreciation for the amount of time and effort that goes into each rod. I hit the Oldman with Bobloblaw and on my first cast with the new rod I hooked into a nice Cutt. (Steve has pics ) Nice little Brown from the Crow
