well, theres coffee all over my keyboard!!! To the OP, read the report again, 3 guys, all day, 30 fish, thats only 10 fish each. So going by the laws of fisherman, you multiply that number by 6 divide by the number of guides on your rod, count the number of fingers on your left hand and subtract 2 and that should give you a pretty accurate number. And once you've done all that, go fishing and keep or don't keep count, because in the end does it really matter? Colin

I've had bad/poor results with Frog Hair (bad spools??), Use Rio a lot, especially their Flouroflex Plus tippet for streamers and nymphing. Colin

To echo what headscan said, figure out how much you are willing to pay and head out to some shops and test cast some rods. We can all suggest to you what we 'think' will be right for you but ultimately it has to feel right to you (and be in your price range) and only you can decide that. Colin

Nothings really been done Rodney, I think our population base is a lot smaller than the LML so we don't see the levels that you guys get out there. There are definitely more campgrounds within and hour or so of the city so I think that helps to contain some of the rowdies (except maybe on the long weekends). I never meant to say we don't have problems but seeing what continually goes on in the Chilliwack Valley, it certainly gives us some perspective of what could possibly happen here. Colin

Funny, I didn't find the prices at Crossroads any less. As much as I support local (30 plus years as a Chef, busting my @ss trying to source as much local product as possible), I sometimes think we are being taken advantage of by everyone all the way up the grocery chain because we've been led to believe that we are truly supporting the small guy. Next time you're at the farmers market take a look at the empty boxes in the stalls, that will tell you where all that 'local' produce is coming from. Colin

My last pair of waders before the ones I currently have were a pair of Wardels purchased from Hanson's when they still had a shop in Vancouver got 5 seasons out of them, still have them hanging around in case of emergency. I'm now on my 4th season with my Snowbee XS-pro's and no signs of leaks, I usually have over 150 days a year on the water and I don't 'baby' my gear but I do take care of it. Colin

something to think about s well, if your boots are coming apart at the seams more than likely it is because they don't fit properly and your feet are moving around and putting stress where it shouldn't be. Your boots should fit snuggly with your waders on and there should be very little wiggle room, same as any comfortable footwear. Colin

Yup, pretty soon everyone will be extolling the virtues of the newest Loop box or GLoomis's re-design of the 'box' (which they will quickly have to recall due to the flaps not being the right size). I'm already outfitting my shop to build 'custom' boxes, where will it end.
