  1. A specific time frame would greatly be appreciated as this all needs to be scheduled so we don't have everyone at the same time
  2. I'm looking for some volunteers to sit and the booth for the weekend show. We'll be tying some flies and talking with the public. Ideally it would be great to have 2 or 3 people at the booth at all times. Anyone interested can send me a PM with dates and times they would be available so that a schedule can be made up. Thanks in advance
  3. Material list: Size 2 & 4 Tiemco 7999 Gold mylar tinsel Orange yarn Lime crystal mirror flash Brown foam Natural deer body hair Orange rubber legs Orange guinea White deer body hair
  4. Sent by a friend in Tasmania http://www.wimp.com/sheeplight/
  5. IMO you have too much material, sparser would be better
  6. Sounds like your hitch is becoming undone when turning, solution is to double or triple hitch or whip finish
  7. Talk to tungsten here on board.... he did ours last year and we are very happy with his work.
  8. Happy birthday Darren, have a good one
  9. http://flyfishcalgary.com/board/index.php?...=furled+leaders A forum search may yield more useful results
  10. Not sure what the brand is; I used to get it from Russel's when it was still around (came on a black spool with no label other than the item number used by the store. I have also used some 32 ga with good results as well
  11. I use a Nor as well plus a small spinning block that is used to make them when portability is more desireable, eg outside on the deck or while watching tv. With the Nor holding the wire as parallel as possible to the base I found makes a difference and I use a moderate speed, alsoas the twisting occurs slowly feed the wires toward the hook, this helps reduce the tension on the wire
  12. I use mostly .006 dia wire. How are you spinning them? It may be a technique issue.
  13. dead link Rick
  14. You can try to decide for yourself after checking this out for yourself http://news.softpedia.com/news/Claim-Tiger...le-120264.shtml
  15. Terry this may answer a few questions for you http://bugguide.net/node/view/39480
  16. If it's a furniture type piece you after, contact Mike at Southbow, he knows someone that might be able to help you. They had a very nice free standing station at the show.
  17. No sting intended Rick, that game had 2 evenly matched teams and it went to overtime to decide the winner. Don't get me wrong both were good games but there is something about sudden death overtime that adds to the game
  18. great shot Gary, at first I thought it was a riser but on closer inspection I could see the leader..... if it would have been a riser it would havew been the best riser shot I have ever seen
  19. Perhaps the US and Canadian programs could be of more help to the Europeans to help their programs there. Something has to change and change fairly quickly. To me the bronze metal game between Sweden and Finland was just as good if not a tad better than the gold metal game but there again the teams were more evenly matched as are the US and Canada
  20. I hope that both teams enjoy the medals that they won as it may be the last medals they could win based on what was reported this AM the IOC is considering removing women's hockey from the games as they feel it is not competitive enough. Let's hope that other countries programs improve enough over the next couple of years so this does not happen
  21. Another fact that is not known by many on both sides of the border: from Windsor, Ont you can drive straight north and cross the border into Detroit. I learned this while visiting my brother who happens to live there, Iwasn't aware of that fact before that time
  22. This definition is correct, those that submitted the landscape shots, sorry but those are not still lifes. A good example of still life shot is Silver Doctors pic post in the current fly swap section
  23. I'm sure his dad had a tad to do with it.....he's a big fish @ Ross
