  8. Congratulations goes to Din for his 1st place winning entry of the fish tail and winning the 1 year subscription to Fly Flusion magazine. We had a 3 entry tie for second place between Jordo and BobLoblaw( he had both his tie for second); congratulations as well goes to these two gentlemen. We'll using the winning entries on the website soon, we have something special in mind for the runner up photos which you'll have to wait till we have them up on the site to see what it is.

  10. First I have to ask what you mostly use it for? The D50 @ 15 mps on an APS senors will have small pixels to gather light with. A friend got one and traded it after 3 days because the image quality that he was looking for. As for lenses think about whether you might look at getting a full frame sensor camera in future, if so and you decide on Canon you have to remember that lenses with the EF-S designation do not work on the fullframe sensor cameras.APS image factor is 1.6 X and full frame is equal to 35mm. In my opinion kit lenses are crap and a waste but for a starting lens Canon has a sweet 24-105mmf4L that I can highly recommend as it is my main go to lens on both my APS and full frame cameras Hope this helps somewhat

  13. I just checked your photo file info and your running 5 kb over on each which means you can only get one at a time, you could do as suggested by storing on line at at a image hosting site like tiny pics , photobucket among others.

  17. why liquid wax? pretty messy to use I'd imagine.......rarely use wax but if I need to I have a cobbler wax made up by a friend in Scotland that is great for what I use it for
  18. This is the place to enter your photos. The theme for this month is headshots/closeups. Subjects fish or angler or other type of subject encountered along the water. If submitting photo of a person other than your self you must have permission to use the photo as it will be posted in a public place. 1st place winner will receive a 1 yr magazine subscription from the contest sponsor; http://www.flyfusionmag.com Don't forget: You retain all rights to your photos, but by submitting, they are agreeing to let us use it on the website. Submissions are open to all FFC members in good standing. You must submit a short write up about your image, eg; what you like about it, how it may inspire you …..that sort of thing 50-100 words (required for use in a monthly article for the site) Do not disclose locations for lesser known or sensitive waters. Deadline: Sept. 30 Winners will be announced first week of October. Good luck!
  19. A good colour combo to have handy is chartruese and kelly green, taken almost all species of salmon on this combo
