  1. I am fortunate so far, no major puncture wounds. My sister's friend's son managed to take a hook right through the hand about a month ago. It was barbed and they had to to the classic push it all the way through, snip the hook or pinch the barb and pull it back through. My sister said the poor little guy was in quite a bit of a pain. Can only think a quick exit with a barbless hook would have helped.
  2. Wow that is an awesome fish, I can only imagine the affect on the old heart watching that shadow move.
  3. They weren't removed by this board were they? The actual place the pictures were posted was removed right?
  4. Ha same conversation over a couple threads... that never happens. Thanks for sharing the article again bcube.
  5. Great pics, nothing about that trip looks bad.
  6. Congrats on making it a year. You have seen a lot Very nice pictures again.
  7. I believe it is just a remote camera. Not sure, possibly motion activated.
  8. Yea I agree, The cow is not too small either.
  9. Pretty interesting video done by Albertaparks: Can only imagine what the tree feels like with three bears all trying to get a scatch/rub.
  10. I only have a Sage XP 9'6 6wt and I will occasionally put two #8 streamers on and throw them out. Not the prettiest casting but it works.
  11. Great post and pictures Peetso, thanks for sharing. I was up on the livingston and old man on Friday and it was muddy but it had also rained all morning and I assume most of the previous night.
  12. Well said Clive. Survey filled out and completed. Nice to see they are taking some steps in the right direction. Interesting to see all the comments on this one and I am happy to see a focus on enforcment from the board community.
  13. Ha-ha yeah I did notice that. Last year my buddy and I got an old wooden drift boat and fixed it all up. Waited for the slower water and went from the Glenmore access to Policemens. I was on the paddles and we were all getting comfortable with paddling but needless to say I overshot policemen's and we had to jump out and drag it back up to the take out point. I hope I am not the first person to have that happen to them.
  14. Not a problem Eric. I need to run down again and check it out.
  15. It is interesting with all the trees in the water as they seem to be making some nice holding spots. Although sometimes a guy seems to get greedy and will hook-up with that tree. Or I have even caught a fish away from the tree and he ran there for cover. I do like that where it was very solid chunks of rock as they appear to be cut away a little more making for some nice deep trenches for fish to hide.
  16. That is a good tip, thanks for sharing it. Part of me wonders how much I will use the system as well. I suppose if I ever hit up a river system that doesn't allow felt might be the only time.
  17. Ha just what I wanted to hear after buying a set of korkers. I do love the omni trax system with the ability to swap out the soles. Oh well I will where them until destruction and then explore a set of simms following that.
  18. Wow a lot of pics since I last looked at this Bob. Thanks a lot for posting the pics and sharing the stories that go along with them. Looks like you are having a pretty great summer.
  19. Crushing or electrocution hmmmm tough calls.
  20. Okay perfect, thank you for the tip. I was going to read the directions but I will make sure the clamp is just tight enough to ensure full contact between the felt and the sole.
