  1. drift boat on lake is pretty lame. Spratley +1
  2. i like up and across method with splitshot in front of first fly (if needed). pretty productive for small streams.
  3. im pretty sure oar locking joint on frameless pontoon will break, my inflatable has exact same system and break within 2 years. It's a easy fix tho. If I were buying a pontoon, I will go with what Don suggested. Being able to sit higher is a great deal in lake fishing.
  4. make sure you get the one with digital maximizer if you go with minn kota, much better on battery life.
  5. PVC? I dont think I will pay $3500 for chinese PVC. and no motor mount plate.
  6. arbour lake is $225. but you get unlimited boat time. nice fish sometimes. beach. lots of other activities for kids and adults.
  7. I went to all furniture stores near ikea south. Generally, if you spend 60% or more of the list price, you are getting raped. I bought mine when the bay has 50% off. you can get another 10-15% on top of that if you apply their credit card with the purchase.
  8. did someone cut the fence for us?
  9. I will do elk and its trib anytime over bow these days.
  10. FYI. Saw this one youtube. Pretty cool! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oO-Zow_yd34
  11. I done both. Started with Android htc hero > iphone4 > galaxy note2. I would say if you are happy with iphone screen size and not too tech savvy, you cannot go wrong with iphone. There are more choices in android world, the only reason I switch from iphone to note2 is due to the larger screen. I can do the same thing on my iphone and android. I think it's really come down to what you prefer, screen/bateery/size/looking/etc.
  12. Nice eggs. Did saw a few redds today in town. Should be catching fish left right center with the eggs if there is still fish in the bow...
  13. maybe just for me, casting upstream and then complete the swing is more productive for me.
  14. I snap my Reddington cpx tip earlier this year, im cheap, cut the section off and send to them in regular mail (cost me $1.50?). They charge $30 usd in total. Received a new tip in a tube in 3 weeks. Maybe sage blank cost them more?
  15. Should do it fast. The water and weather is cold already. Snowed in kananaskis as yesterday.
  16. If nothing is hatching, just do 700 casts to create your own hatch.
  17. ya. it looks very shallow all the way out. not too sure how you can actually launch boat.
  18. sounds about right, cracking is common on both flowing/still water fishing. Not just SA, but all other brands, pretty much tried most of them. I often replace 2 lines per year. Picked up a sharkskin this year for stillwater, will tell how durable compares to others by the end of year. btw, if it cracked on the loop, just cut it off and whip finish a new loop.
