  1. Ya I know theres good and bad kids , personally I wouldn't be calling them kids if there old enough to drive there. And a dont wave my finger at anyone if people are doing stuff around me I dont like I clear out fast. I dont waste my breath on people like that, there already old enough to know better and nothing I say is going to change that.
  2. Sorry to hear about your grandfather Jeremie. Some great shots there looks like a blast. I hook some pretty nice walleye on the Red Deer river with the fly rod when am chasing browns.
  3. If they got busted than they must of deserved it. You honestly think us older people forget what it was like to be young. We sure didnt need someone to come clean up after us to teach us what was right and wrong.
  4. We where doing the same thing when I was a younster. we use to party at a few different spots on the Red Deer river. Big parties too 100 people couple times a week Funny thing is you could go out there the next day and there was no garbage and bottles all over. If you busted a bottle on the ground on purpose you would get a beating for it. We kept it clean and respected the land and river. The cops knew we partied there, they never bothered us. Now you cant even get down there they blocked off any access. Yup as far as am concerned the little pukes got off lucky because in my day we would have slapped the *hit out of them and run them out of the spot.
  5. I use Daiichi and mustad , all my hooks have barbs which I pinch and file off before tying.
  6. Just bought a Rio gold and a Rio Windcutter 2 I've always used cortland 444, So far am loving the Rio lines, definitetly float better and have alot less memory. I cant really compare the performance of the two as the Rio's went straight on the 2 Sage Z-Axis 590's I bought for the wife and me. Never used the cortlands on anything but cheap rods.
  7. That is a pretty brown , nice looking crick too.

    Very nice Bow
  11. Been thinking off doing a camping float on the Bow myself. Did you stay on islands or is there places you can tent around the boat launches. Was thinking of doing Glenmore to Carsland and taking 3 days, Ive never floated below Mckinnon's yet. Am thinking 3 days should be enough but I love stopping and fishing on foot so I might shorten the float abit. Pretty awesome browns forsure Bigtoad
  12. Welcome to the site and grats on the nice brown.
  13. I had that problem with the improved clinch knot too. I've started using a Cleave knot with alot better success or an orvis knot

A couple more... This little guy didn't seemed to have much fear of humans.
  23. Enjoying the change of scenery from floating rivers to some lake fishing this year. Here's a few nice rainbows.
  24. Looking at purchasing a Rushton Dragon landing net. Is it worth the extra $ to go with the ghost netting vs. the nylon mesh netting? Just wondering if the clear netting spooks the fish less? Opinions or preferences appreciated. Thanks.
  25. Very nice, great color and the B&W are sweet too.
