  5. DS is a Eco-terrorist that I have never been able to stand!!! Diesel guzzling buss riding hypocrite A-hole... *hit said I was going to stay out of this one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. That is what got us on Telus Brian , our bills were never the same, sometimes higher when we never even used the damn cell Phones or Mikes...So Ann started looking and going over the bills and man sometimes it was $100 + over what is should be, she started on them and would phone ever month when a bill came in...
  7. Alberta Hospital Ponka I would hope....eating pudding and in a I love me coat.. with the buckles on the back....
  8. So an act of man is impacted by an act of God/nature. The brookies did not ask to be flooded to the next lake, but and there is always a but, now they are being harvested with extreme measures, and then packed on ice and feed to the homeless which is great, but and there is always a but, why not move them back to there original lake ???? Who's to say that a power much smarter then we few creatures on earth did not intend for the EB to populate the west.. For reasons only he can see... Think about your response ....hahahhahhahaaha J/K wish they would ship some of them big lake brookies to me!!!
  9. Same Same Same.. With land line, cell phone and internet.. bills never right.. will never work with them again. Got rid of a cell phone when I retired, just have the SPOT now and it is enough..
  10. Hay Rick .. If Project Healing Waters Canada, gets the booth space we are hoping for then I will be there for the whole show. So count me in, I can bring some sardines and saltines....... J/K but I will !!!
  11. nope straight walking head down mind in neutral - go - get to destination, then fish.... and take an easy walk out!!! Once you have done it a couple of hundred times you sort of get used to it.. best time I ever did 10 miles/16km with a 55lb pack and webbing and rifle and EIS, was 1hr 56mins then 100yard firemans carry , and then a full days work on top.. Hmmm that's maybe why my back is SCREWED I wonder????????? Sorry Guys/Gals the post was a dig/gentle military humour..... maybe just a flashback to the GOODOLDDAYS!!!!!! Damn it is cold out !!!!
  12. 17 km That can be done in about 2.5 - 3 hrs and not even sweating, especially with no 70lb pac or weapon, or no one shooting at you..
  13. Rick Nobody said do not take pictures of fish, matter of fact that is all I take of the fish.. It is just that the pictures do not need to be done at the 4ft level above the water, or with the fish at an up or down angle, what is wrong with a fish resting in a net, or just on the water surface? With burst photography on today's digi cameras you can get 20- 50 shots of the fish at water level while it is reviving and not stress it as much as some of the "pros" with their metered wait for the sun to come out time delayed grip and grin shot at chin level.. The Op's question was are bass tougher then trout when out of the water or while out of the water.. you are damn right they are, for all the reasons given, and if somebody wants 50 shots of them holding a fat fish at chin level while grinning, then fish for bass or even warm water pike.. but and there is always a but keep the hands out of the gills and at least wet your hands before grabbing it and put it back in the water while waiting for the light to get just right or the sun to get from behind a cloud bank. Note to some - every thing after the word "pike" was meant as light hearted banter and bullshit teasing - so retract the claws !!!! here it is G-P thingy
  14. WHAT EVER I am not going to PC this . I think Dustin is feeling a lot guilty, and maybe very ashamed of his fish handling skills and needed to lash out!!! Then again he maybe be a saint and wants to point out the good stuff he has done?
  15. Watch some of the FlyMAX vids and some of the ones posted on this BB and you will see bad fish handling, out of water way too long, big fish dipped, that means dipped back in the water then up for somebody else to take a picture, and dipped for a picture, head way down or way up and way up above the water. On one recent home made vid I saw finger prints on the belly of a big fish when it was released, that the host was so happy to get and was saying "not a mark on him" Saw some guys I have fished with, man handle a large B trout, much longer then the rules allow!! I respect these(this) guy and it was a great fish all the more reason to let it go as fast as possible.. This is a pet peeve of mine..some of the "pros" have a camera guy with them but lots of regular folk don't and they try to get the hero shot, NOT NECESSARY! you beat the fish, landed him, now let him or her, go as fast as possible. This is the resource we all love so much, treat it gingerly so that it can be around to make more big fish and for our kids kids to catch.. Don't blame me for this rant you guys opened the door!!! Before anybody starts , yea I have been guilty in the past, and now do a hell of a lot better!
  16. My condolences to the family and friends. Sad day for Canada and the Canadian Forces.. God Bless them all http://cnews.canoe.ca/CNEWS/Canada/2009/12...2308581-cp.html

  18. þína, hvenær sem er, jafnvel á föstudaginn, hef ég að reyna nýja stangir og jakka og vaðfuglar .. þú got mig barnableyja og með rauð augu eins og heilbrigður.
  19. I guess I have a short list as well.. I started with a no name fiberglass after giving my Grandfather back his old Bamboo rod Then - 197? - 1999 Berkly Cherry wood glass 8-1/2ft 8wt 2pc. (loved that old rod!) Broke my wrist in two places so my wife got me Berkly Cherry wood graphite 8-1/2ft 8wt 2 pc.. Still to heavy, I even tried to cast it with my cast on I then got a St croix 8 ft 4wt 2pc favorite small stream rod. Then I got a TFO Lefty Sig 9ft 6wt 2pc, love the rod.. and Santa's little helper (read Mother Ann) got me a 9ft 6wt 4pc Sage Flight.. So I guess that makes me a sage-headhunter-snob now ..
  20. I have worked Ambulance here in Alberta for 8yrs. The one thing the Video does not convey is the smell and the feel.. the smell of a persons guts and the feel of broken bones in a skin bag.. Think about it!!! I also worked E911, and will never forget the anguish of a callers (any callers) voice when they come on to an accident scene or when I have to ask them to do something that is very gross, to them or ask them to check for signs of life, etc.. there is a lot more I could write , but then I would need to start drinking again and just get angry at the fools that Drink and Drive.. I do not need that much anger in my life.. Just don't do it, moron!!!!
  21. Damn you cowboys are slow , my name ain't Willis!!!!
  22. TACO what is that as your signature, last time I saw something like that it was on a bullet riddled wall with blood stains!!!! I do not care what it is just want to know what it says, or what you think it says!!! Edit - got it translated, and I think you stand a better chance of getting fleas in your crotch, what with the company you keep!!!!!
  23. Poor Rita it gets worse for her , she was busted at the Miami Airport they did a strip search and found 40lbs of crack!!!!!! :$*%&:
  24. Ebay has them up all the time, just have to watch quality, you can order straight from the Nor-vise web site, piece at a time if needed..Norm is great to work with.. I have tied down to 22 on the small inline jaws..
  25. It only takes some creative hook positioning to tie scud hooks, on the inline jaws, I do it all the time. Two ways to counter balance the fine point jaws , use the heavy second part of the SW jaws as it is heavy , or use the counter balance that is provided the one with the thin arm sticking out, you can see it on the youtube vids of the Nor-vise, or just link through the Nor-vise site. Price - some how I never get the high price (600$) on the web site it does not look to add up to that much, I must be missing something?
