  1. Thanks very much for organizing this. Do you need me to send you a cheque for the postage?
  2. I was right to the end just couldn't turn it off even though I really didn't care who won. Turco stood on his head. Now I am very tired.
  3. Thanks for the info. I have never caught bass on any type of tackle perhaps this summer I will give it a try.
  4. After reading the article apparently they were in the process of installing cannons but they were hampered by cold weather.
  5. Calgary Herald I heard that snow had hampered the cannons so that they weren't scaring away the birds. Kind of short sighted not planning for snow in Fort McMurray or anywhere in Canada for that matter.
  6. how about one of these if you got some scraps leftover.fills the box fast.
  7. I got 3. 4wt TiCr, 6wt TiCR and 8wt TiCr X. Love them haven't had to use the warranty yet. Not the best out there but I think they are excellent value for the money.
  8. they had the same clip of penguins twice during the story man this global warming must be worse than we thought.

did you tub test it? cause it looks like it would have a wicked swimming action.
  10. Ended up getting polarized prescription lenses made for a pair of less expensive ($70) frames total was $315 and thanks to my benefits package from work i will get all of that back.
  11. Justice in canada = slap on the wrist. At least the didn't get off on a technicality I guess.
  12. My last year Photos from my last year of fishing thanks to max for improving my skills enough to provide you all with this fish porn. Animoto is fun and easy. Makes me want to take more photos while fishing.
  13. Keenan just cost Calgary a shot at coming back. Kipper would have stopped that 5th goal and 2 goals down is a lot better than 3. Kipper wasn't playing badly just his defense letting him down.
  14. I think that if it wasn't for a lot of the people in the industry suggesting products there would be a lot less useful information. I haven't found there to be any out right "buy this from here" in fact in a few cases I have had employees of specific fly shops not to mention any names actually steer me away from the stuff they sell, even in front of their boss.
  15. Not sure what I would do with all those extra spools. I think having 1 spare would be useful but 3? Gonna have to do some shopping tomorrow.
  16. I am sure this has been asked before but I am going to do it again. I need a reel for an 8wt preferrably less than $200. My wife thinks buying new is a good idea and I am encouraging her. So i think I have 2 questions, first what do you recommend and second where do you buy it? I would like a large arbor for this one and I was also wondering if I need to get a 9/10 wt to accomodate the line and backing.
  17. Darnit slow typing again
  18. Icky Fly Works Online If you hit refresh enough the banner add will appear at the top.
  19. I went and inquired about the Maui Jims and they don't make lenses in my perscription. I am going to try sending my perscription to Ocean waves and see what they say but I am not holding my breath. I think it will be back to polarized perscription lenses for me or the over glasses option.

Din tied a good baetis pattern located here http://flyfishcalgary.com/board/index.php?...9&hl=Baetis Apparently photobucket doesn't love him anymore. Or try this Danica Baetis nymph
  21. for $500-$600 the fishing trip and the fish better come included but yes I have drooled over them before.
  22. I read that review do you know of anywhere locally that sells them? I saw them in cabellas but I would rather try and buy locally.
  23. So I managed to put a big scratch in one of the lenses of clip-on glasses have actually been using them as it only mildly effects my vision but I would really like to replace them. I wear perscription glasses all the time so I am looking at getting either an over glasses solution (typically cheaper but not as good optically) or maybe some perscription sunglasses (much more money but much better optically). I was looking in the Orvis catalog (and thats gonna cost me alot of cash I am sure) and they seem to make perscription lenses for a lot of their frames but they don't ship the prescription ones to canada as far as I can tell. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
  24. Fishing really I was. Actually that looks like it was fairly close to where I was fishing.
  25. A question for Silver Doctor or anyone, I just came back from Wisconsin and I cleaned my waders before I left but I would like to disinfect them any recommendation on how to do this. I have had suggestions of bleach or some chemical called 4109?
