  1. WTF is a Pram?
  2. Thanks guys. I do believe it was albertarealm I used last year. The srd site directs you to albertarealm anyway, so either work.
  3. Anyone remember the website to do it online?
  4. Don't call em slough sharks for nothin'!
  5. Definitely some food for thought. I also found a Hardy StreamFlex that sounds pretty good. Not a saltwater rod, but a good price none the less.
  6. I have my mind on maybe getting a 9'6" 6wt to replace my 9'0" 6wt rod. I have been looking online for some options and some of the rods I have come across, like a Sage VT2, for example, is being advertised as a Saltwater rod. What's the difference? Can I use this rod on the Bow even though it's not Saltwater?
  7. I'll second that sentiment. However, I will watch every last game, when possible, and continue to cheer my ass off.
  8. Man, some seriously fine pics! I particularly loved that first one of the Bow River Rocket. Thanks for sharing your 2010 in photo form with us
  9. Nice fish brad. I hope we finally get a chance to hit the river this year.
  10. Don't mean to steal the thread, but didn't think it worth to start yet another "it's not butt ass cold out, YAY" thread. Went out afterwork to brave the wind. Wind died down a tad, and thanks to the high bank, the wind at my back, the casting wasn't bad at all. Water was quite dirty from all the warm weather. On my way down I could see that Fish Creek was nice and dirty, so I wasn't all that surprised to see that the visibility wasn't that great. My night very closely came to an abrupt end when on my second cast, I hung up on bottom and couldn't get it loose. Had to bust it off and lost the whole rig. Temper almost got the better of me (third time its happened in the last two trips) and almost called it a night. Thankfully I didn't, and my reward was a nice brown of about 18". Had another on, but lost it. Appeared to be foul hooked, but couldn't tell for sure. Good evening to be out. Looking forward to going again in the morning
  11. I have a 10' 7wt that I use pretty exclusively for chucking streamers. I have nymphed with it, but I like how my 9' 6wt feels more when nymphing. My favorite rod for dries on the Bow is an 8'6" 5wt. Love how it feels and casts a mile.
  12. Ahhhhh, Sciatica, my old friend. How I loathe thee. Blew a disc in my back about nine years ago (L1S1) that had been surgically repaired in Feb of '02. Still have back pain to this day. Rarely a day that I wake up without back pain. Had a real bad flare up about two years ago after wiping out HARD during a hockey game and slamming back first into the boards. Try to stretch as much as possible now, visit a Chiropractor once a month to keep in check. A combination of Physio and Chiro fixed me up last time. But, like you Robert, I get the pinch in my left ass cheek once in a while. Not even close to what it used to be, but annoying none the less. My massage therapist gave me a stretch that seems to work really well in stretching the glute. Hurts a lot, but it sure feels better after. lol Sciatica is something that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.
  13. I've been playing in this league since it started, I also am one of the refs. http://www.nchl.com Check it out.
  14. Now that's a pretty cool shot....
  15. Really? I'm jealous as hell. Bastard. :$*%&:
  16. Hope you have a good one bud!
  17. So far.....doing a great job at scaring the crap outta the new guy.
  18. Wow. What an interesting way to break the news. lol Congrats!
  19. I also took Jim's courses. Beginners course and his Intermediate course, Listening to the Bow. Both great.
  20. Try this guy. I hear he's pretty good. www.mclennanflyfishing.com
  21. Welcome Bill. As long as you can decipher sarcasm in written form, you'll do fine here.
  22. I remember Teubert from the Juniors a couple years back, he was a solid D man in the tournament and received a lot of praise for his work and leadership on the back end. He's a big kid too at 6'4" and pushing 200lbs. Could be a good pick up if he fills out a bit more. With prospects its always a wait and see to figure out how the trade works out. Considering everyone was saying they could get a first rounder for Hemsky, that we got a first rounder, a solid prospect and a conditional pick, I'd say they did GREAT in getting all that for Penner. I like it. I would have rather seen him stay, but considering the return, I like it.
  23. That and crack
  24. Maybe if they can get past Montreal.......
