  1. So I got out to Bow a lot in may and I got to get out to fish some creeks and lakes. I don't have many pics from the lakes as all the fish are a lot smaller and I am turning into a Bow river trout snob. I have had the fortune of using a tonne of new gear this last month from Sage and Redington, and that has been great. I scored a couple sets of Redington's CPX waders and it is wicked to be able to unzip. I am ultra impressed with the Sage TXL 2711-4 and the Z-axis 390-4 they have some serious back bone for such light rods. I have switched up to a Redington CPX 12'6" 6wt spey, for the bow it has been a dream to fish with after using my steelhead spey outfit to learn on, it is mated with a Redington CDL Ti reel. The Brown fishing has been pretty crazy the last week, I was lucky enough to pull 2 fish in one day that surpassed my biggest brown to that date. I didn't get a pic of the bigger on as my camera was out of batteries, Roach told me earlier in the month that it would take me getting a hog and not being able to get pics before I changed the batteries...... he was right. well enough said here are some pics..... I hope you enjoy. Buck with a decent brown night fishin..... last night fishing Roach with a slab here's one for Bhurt..... where's this shot taken? Redington love
  2. AWESOME that's a trip I want to do inthe next few years
  3. Dustin I met with the MD of Rocky View about access on Jumping Pound and their head of titles (don't know his actual title but I have his card around her somewhere) told me that there is no land owner along the JP that owns the water
  4. Holy crap 3500 perch... damn that should make an impact eh?

    Nice pics Ayr,
  6. So now that AEG is defunct (so i heard i could be wrong) does this mean we will never be treated to metalhead? I would think there is still are market for the product. Anyone in the know???
  7. I have cut down my 6wt Rio Grand about 5 1/2' and it has really helped keeping the heavy nymph rig from collapsing the loop, plus I now find myself single hand spey casting 90% of the time (I am using a single hander right now as I busted my 6wt spey rod). I find I can get great distance with the spey cast and always set up really well with for the drift. Good to hear others have a weaker side of river as well. It is something I am try to eliminate from my game, but after a long day I can always notice when I anchor incorrectly and watch my rig come looping into my face or around my rod tip. always learning, always trying to improve is the key.
  8. my dad will be out from BC so we may go hit some still waters, and beat the crap out of the NW city bow
  9. C&F Design split foam plus if you spend some real $$$ on them you can invest in the Fly File System and just swap out the foams
  10. I have one of these http://www.feelphones.com/wp-content/uploa...4/nokiamd-8.jpg it is the same length but about an inch thicker than my ipod nano widescreen. If I am with guys that don't mind I blast music all day long.

  12. PDL is looking for IT staff......
  13. Redington CPX waders have a front zipper that goes down below your nuts, if you are in a fishcat or similar tube you can undo the zipper and still be out of the water.
  14. if it is a GSM phone you should be able to download Motorola phone tools. (search motorola's site) If it is a CDMA phone then it's locked nad you need to pay $.50 to send pics to your online photo album, which you will need to set up prior.
  15. Considering that there are likely only about 100 adult bull trout in the Elbow River below Elbow Falls, this means that we salvaged about 5% of the Elbow River's fluvial adult bull trout population from certain death. that's awesome, thanks
  16. realistically Jack, they need to decide what part of the city do they want to live. What they are looking for can be found in each quadent NW, NE, SW, SE. Myself personally, I live in the NW. I love it up here it is quiet, safe but far from the river. I would be looking for NW or SW as the east side has a lot more unsavoury elements
  17. Have you given any consideration to the 7'10" TXLs? If so why was it ruled out? If I was to get another Sage with your requirements for small creeks and small drys on still waters this would be the rod I choose. The TXLs feel more "managable" to me, for small fish. I am fairly certian the TXL would meet your needs as it is designed for what you want. Last weekend I tied into several brookies with a 2wt TXL and it was awesome. If you'd like to try out a TXL let me know or I have the 390 Z axis you can chuck a bit as well, both are mated with a Sage reels
  18. Pretty sure that because they are cops/peace officers in the van they can park where ever the f*uck they want Plus I don't think you'd get much traction if you were to complain
  19. Nice bully Teck, how'd she fight in that little water?? You going to be out there this weekend? Fallen Timber is on my short list for this weekend my TXL 2wt needs a work out
  20. Winston has one, and a few other guys as their bow river sticks. I think they got them from Fish Tales
  21. there was a thread about this a few months back, I can't seem to find it via teh search but the generally consensis is that would be considered snagging
  22. you can find Mackenzie plans fairly eazy on ebay for under $10.. I have thought of doing my own aluminum boat... but that would take valuable fishing time.. good luck What are 4x8 3/16' sheets of aluminum worth? that's what you would be working with right?
