  1. So true, 420fisherman, myself and another from this site took some buddies camping into the mountians last August long. When we met up I asked one buddy if he was bringing a jacket he said no it's august. I stated there was only one season in the mountians..... winter.... him and the others that were unprepared didn't sleep well in the 8" of snow that fell.
  2. that's cool man, I am on the constant hunt of the bull trout
  3. I don't understand it; people clearly disregard the signs and common sense, to hop over the fence into an animal inclosure and to not think anything bad is going to happen is madness. If that was teh case why not let all the animals run free in the zoo. It's like pulling a knife on a cop and wondering why you got tazered

  5. Hey guys I am looking for a new bow river only rod I was thinking something along the lines of a 5 wt. I want to be able throw, bigger dries, hopper dropper rigs and nymph rigs but be the lightest wt rod possible. What are the suggestions? Has anyone tried the Redington CPX 10'6" 5 wt?

  7. thanks guys I did get out.... didn't do to well but it was better then today on the oldman...... strangely after 2 days of this I want some chocolat milk
  8. I like carrying a cut down single shot cooey 12g. because it is a single shot breach-break it can LEGALLY be 18.5" overal length, fits great on the side of my pack. In all my years of carrying it I have only pulled it once on a bear 10 years ago.
  9. It is a very popular practice in Thialand and Viet Nam. the simplest description of why...... ribbed for her pleasure., look at what these dudes do for thier ladies enjoyment. I have 9 tattoos shoulders, complete back, complete chest and one on my left wrist, none can be seen when I wear a long sleeve, but i have no piercings any more. I got my first tattoo when I was 24, and there is no stopping me now. I would like to get something on my neck, but that is getting a little to hard, I may want to work in an office again someday. My next will a bull trout in spawning colours on my arm.
  10. I was wondering how long that would take for some one to ask about that..... simple, I'm a Jedi and by that i mean I have very cooperative fishing buddies
  11. well the trout keep messing up my drifts its the first sucker i have caught and I was laughing like crazy, when I hooked it up I thought it was a monster trout, it came straight up fast and out of the water. Then it proceeded to rip around the hole, suckers aren't supposed to do that. I should start smiling more. I'll work on magnum, blue steel is getting old.
  12. Jer I didn't argue with most of teh comments as the people that commented clearly didn't look at the product I showed.... Like I'd be looking for a hammock if I already didn't own a wicked tent. Guys the reason fo rthe hammock is the weight savings and bulk savings over carrying a tent, pegs, poles, drop sheet and a mat. Read teh reviews of the Clark hammocks and you will soon realize that it is a light weight, waterproof tent that hangs from teh trees
  13. me too, but with these trout in the #s they are....... I'll become bow river scarce after June 16th
  14. So I didn't get out near as much as I wanted this march, only on the water for a measily 6 days. Damn work, keeping me to busy to fish. I wanted to put up some pics of myself and some buddies with our more memorable fish (NOTE i didn't say biggest). I am starting to get excited yesterday we hooked some really good fighters, so not only are we on the cusp of spring, the trout appear to know as well. Tight lines dudes
  15. could you ride in on a mountian bike??
  16. Hey guys does anyone here do hammaock camping? If so what hammock do you use? after a little reseearch I think I am swaying towards this hammock http://www.junglehammock.com/models/northamerican/index.php The reviews are stunning, I have never seen this many people rave about a product. What should I be considering? The hammock will be used in all weather conditions and tamp ranges to -10 C.
  17. short as possible, I'm fairly fit but I hate hiking. I hiked to Tombstone and back one day to fish and that is my limit it was 14 K round trip.
  18. nice bullies Maxx, good for you getting out there
  19. Headscan, this is interesting and I have thought about it a bit myself... I came to the conclusion that this is just the nature of the beast unless you want to rig up with the heaviest fly down, but then i find I get more snags, more snags = less time fishing therefore more missed "potential" takes. What is the better solution to this??? I don't know. Great topic for discusion though
