  1. I've been using TelusTV for about 5 years, I was on the beta. It is fine the no HD is an issue with me and really should be for anyone thinking about buying a new tv. I have never had problems like I have read here with the modem but these things happen. there is a new box coming out that will is HD and has a built in PVR. I will echo that it royally sucks when something does go down as your internet and tv are useless and you feel like it is 1992 all over again. I get around 260 channels... pretty much the complete package. I would personally wait until the new box comes out so you can have HD. I have a couple HD tvs and standard cable looks like ass. But I have never had a problem, running a download, gaming on my 360 and my wife watching tv at the same time, but my wife being a upper level Telus staffer might have something to do with it.... lol
  2. water temps on the FTR up form cochrane have been no where near dangerous levels, I would be surprised if you find water over 16c this week. Even when we had that bit of heat week ago water temps weren't over 15c on my thermometer
  3. THe bathrooms have signs on the doors that state the same
  4. I think I have way more ability to land fish faster with the TXL, don't know what it is. I was thinking of going with the 000wt TXL but glad I got the 2wt as I can still use it for nymphing. Probably get a 000wt next year. I hope to use the 2 wt nymphing on the bow this week. no she was freaking out and she was very hard to grip, I was worried I would end up dropping her in the boat, so i let her free, with just pics.
  5. So I caught a rainbow today out in the hills on my Sage TXL 2wt 7'10" It was a blast on the tiny stick and some what unexpected. Sorry about the photoshopping but it would have been to easy then.
  6. onthefly7, I have caught a few bullies. I am no bully expert but I'll be more then happy to show you some waters that I have hooked some bullies. You are from Texas and I don't expect you will be increasing the pressure on my favorites. If i am in town (damn work). PM me and we'll talk
  7. I have a Sage TXL 2710 2 wt 7'10" and a Z-axis 390 3 wt 9'. If you would like to try either PM me
  8. I'll steal a quote from Jim McLennan " Learning to fly fish on the Bow is like learning to drive on the Daytona 500." It's a tough river, once you think you have it figured out it will throw you a 2 week funk. Just keep pounding away and it will come. I know that sounds shitty but, thats the bow
  9. I'm going to be out for a while, have to work

  21. So i thought that was a good title.... I saw some cool stuff this last month, saw a calf moose swim across lower K, had an awesome grizzly encounter, saw a huge beaver and even got a coyote to come and eat 1 metre away from us today. Plus I got flashed by 2 girls floating the bow, but I don't have any pices for you from that. Got to fish with my dad, which is always awesome and finally got to teach him a few things. It's funny watching the BC boy wrestle with a 3 nymph rig. He was hear for about a week so we got to get out to a few of my favorite streams, but after locking up some browns on the bow, all he could ask for was " when are we going back to the bow, the cutties are nice but I want some pigs" I was able to get out to fish, bows, browns, cutties, and bullies this month.... the brookies got away lucky but I supplemented my brookie diet with a whitefish...... mmmmm whitefish. Hope you enjoy my ego-stroking, i mean pics Damn that's one big beaver Roach with a cool feesh, I liked how the light streams through the fins Sometimes I get lucky, with all the bugs in the air I'd have to be slow to not hook a feesh on midges Sun setting on a great day of the bow river I like this smaller brown, because of it spots. Damn they are cool looking feesh, there was a time I told Max that browns were so-so.
  22. Dude that atlantic salmon is cool, you are lucky I haven't fished east of Clooney
  23. I think brookies are pretty too, no matter the pic or size, thanks for sharing
  24. Wicked pics, some of those shots are really quality. Thanks
