  1. Very nice! The main reason for me anyways for tyeing on a size 20 is to keep it as small as possible so i avoid any metal beads to keep it small. You think tyeing them is a bitch now wait till your in your 40's and you can't see them as good, my advise is tie a couple thousand now so when you get old you won't have to do it lol.
  2. Ya i had an Ole Faithful, bought in 1992 Fenwick something or other with a nice click Diawa reel.Never failed me.Had some high 20's browns on it and few pike in the 20's also.Last seen sinking in the Bow But since then I've purchased a few different ones all a little lighter and nicer to cast,so maybe a blessing in disguise.Looking forward to having the ones i have now for a long time and probably making good use of the lifetime warranty. I don't have a pic of my old rod but i have some of my new ones.

    Boots...

Felt with studs is my vote.Rubber i can see being better for the long hikes. Hopefully boot company's will clue in and bring back felt or at least the fly shops should start stocking more of them.Right now I'm looking for a new pair and I'm forced to look on line just because of the poor selection here in town.
  4. The trailer should come with a plate. Then you just change the owner info. I think.
  5. I gotta kick out of when he said that you have to make a lot of casts to fool these fish so they deserve a nice looking fly. Great video thanks for posting that Marc,
  6. You no I'm thinking maybe the Internets are maybe a little too difficult for you guys that can't post pics.Maybe you should try bowling or some other activity that may be a little easier for ya. Just say in..
  7. I don't see any counter weight,or is it one thats not suppose too spin? You must have small hands, theres no way my left mitt would fit in there to hold anything.
  8. I looked back 2 pages and i only see 1.You into the Christmas cheer already? Sometimes its just the way it is, when i first posted my Hatch reel all of a sudden theres 2 others for sale. Tungsten: wishes he had a ZXL.
  9. I would suggest new doors, MDF doors are what is normally used when painting them. There cut out of one piece wether you want shaker or raised panal so you won't see any seams like you would if you did the oak doors. I'm working out of town this week, when I get back I can come have a look if you want.
  10. i can't believe some of the #'s that I'm hearing.I think I'm in the wrong business. I purchased a new American Standard mid eff. 80,000 btu from a plumber friend at his wholesalers at $850 this was 3 years ago.I removed my old one and slid in the new one, of course the new one was about a foot shorter so i needed an adapter manifold to go from the new one to my old duct work.Any heating shop can make these for about $40.I did the gas and electrical myself but you should be able to hire a certified gas dude for an hour. All in my cost was under $1000.Maybe furnaces have gone up alot but $4500 for a new 1 even with plumbing in a new vent and exaust seams like someone is making some good money.
  11. Now thats some funny stuff right there! Welcome to the board Triploid you'll fit in well around here.
  12. Is it a Bomber Saltwater Badonk-A-Donk Low Pitch 3.5" Topwater Lure??
  13. Thanks all, I'm thinking more along the lines of a combination machine,so normal coffee machine on one side and the espresso on the other.
  14. My wife has been dropping a few hints, any ideas on what and where? Not looking to spend too much $150 ish. Thx.
  15. I ice fish, i use flys and flouro leaders.I have a fly reel spooled with mono. To me anyways thats flyice fishing. IMO theres lots of room for ice fishing topics around here.
  16. There also good when your camping and tying flies and you need a piece of foam.
  17. Some of you may have seen this already but i thought it was funny, Caution "R" rated Nymph VS Swing.
  18. Its just the Drip fans that think it was a sucker punch,i think there feelings were hurt.
  19. Then we would've been discussing the advantages and disadvantages of manual transmissions on snow.
  20. New signs estimating travel time on the deerfoot. Is it just me or is this as about as handy as a one legged man in an ass kicking contest? What they should say is, Hey you ya you get the hell out of the right lane if your not exiting the next off ramp. Then a smile face followed by, thank you come again.
  21. I don't no how many pages back you'd have to look but i think allot of us here agree with you and are still pissed about it.Maybe thats why for me anyways we hate the Sutters. Dion was always good at hitting someone hard with in the first minute or two of the game.Sure he might take a penalty but it set the stage for the game.
  22. I still think its a big river and boats that get too close should have water balloons chucked at them. Oh where were we,oh ya borderline sucker punch. Its all good, its what keeps hockey exciting. Also whats the rule when goalies go behind the net to play the puck?Nobody hits them.
  23. Well theres no doubt that winter rated tires are going to give you more traction i think everyone would agree to that. But if you drive accordingly and your all seasons are fairly new you should still be ok with 4x4 or front wheel drive. Also pending on your all seasons as some have better snow grip then others. One problem i see is people have sport tires or 60 series tires that are to wide and don't give the PSI like a 75 series tire would.
