  1. Ya i have some bigger gape hooks around here somewhere just can't find them now. Heres one with some marabou behind the deer hair to fill it in a little more.I like the taper a bit more.
  2. I tend to get bored tyeing the same kinda patterns after awhile so i thought I'd change it up a bit. Couldn't find any barbell eyes for weight so i used a jig hook for the head and a heavy nymph hook for the stinger. Was thinking i could bulk it up a bit more behind the deer hair to give it a better taper. Thoughts?
  3. If it were me i would leave it bare concrete, then build a box or two with high sides. To keep the kittens in.One thing you don't want is for them to start peeing on the bottom of your walls and getting into your drywall and studs.
  4. Did a pork butt on Sunday rubbed it in just about ever thing including some new to me anyways smoked paprika.Had the rub on Sat night,Sun morning in the slow cooker for about 9 hrs.Shredded the prk mixed in a little bulls eye .Made some cole slaw put the two together on a peace of garlic toast. Washed it down with a beer.

I find that clicking the left button on your mouse after you have the pointer thingy on the little area at the bottom that says FULL SIZE IMAGE works well for me. Your welcome. Nice fly BTW.
  8. Sun,maybe its been said already but what kind of rainbows are currently stocked?
  9. Italo Labignan,Just typing his name has me pissed.
  10. After reading about the guy who died really got me thinking.I fish on ice shelfs i even go to the edge some times thinking that its safe.I really don't no how thick it is for the most part i can see the bottom.I often think about what if i fall in what would i do. Climbing back onto the ice would almost be imposable never mind trying to breath after the shock of cold water. I would think that some ice picks tethered to your wrists would be handy for trying to climb back on to the ice. I guess the best advise would be just to stay off them but it makes for such an excellent casting platform that its hard to resist. Any tips out there that people would like to share?
  11. Sad news,I wonder if falling in is what caused the heart attack. X2 on don't fish alone on the ice shelfs.
  12. Boring as hell but it gets you started, alternate picking is good to learn right from the start.
  13. For tabs i use ultimate guitar tabs .com.Shows you all the cords you'll need to no. I also have a program called guitar pro 6 makes it real easy to learn a song. They have a 14 day trial so you can test before you buy. I'm no pro but if you don't no the F chord(not the middle finger one) yet learn it and train your fingers to do that chord.Learn some scales also this will help in the future. Also if your like me and have big fingers it makes it a lot easier to play if your guitar has a wider neck.I play on a 12 string with only 6 strings on it.
  14. Somemore info about trolling motors http://www.minn-kota.com/Minn-Kota-faq/Minn_Kota_FAQ.htm#4
  15. Take it back to Apple,maybe they'll give you a new one.Worth a shot.
  16. Justfloatin,i have the same battery's.Energizer brand group 27, 180 A/hr.I use them for my trailer and for the boat and have had good luck with them so far they are 3 years old now. How long will they last?I think 1 lb of thrust= 1 amp/hr for a 12 volt system.at full power. So 30lb thrust motor should go about 6 hours at full power on a 180amp/hr battery(group 27). I weighed one once it was 55lbs.
  17. Well another year gone by,no records broken for me.Dry fly was good starting in April and continued into Nov.For the first time i was on the Bow when a good flying ant hatch happened.Of course i didn't have a good match but it was cool to see. How about you?

  19. All depends on how much$ if you want plain and cheap then a riveted Jon in 14-16' with a 40/30hp tiller is what is most common. You don't get much storage space and they row OK, nothing special. Anchors can be easily added by either running down the gunnel's with pulleys or threw the floor running the rope threw a hose. Rig your self up a pulley/davit off of the front.Foot releases are also easily built. If your looking for more, like dry storage and more HP. A welded boat is the next step ,wider and thicker bottoms more storage but these boats are heavy. So more HP is needed. Most would also be imposable to row. I would be looking south across the boarder, you should be able to find a good boat for a good price.
  20. Well since you have a 10wt rod you could pretty much use any reel.Pike are big but there not gonna test the drag. You need to test drive a few and see what weight of reel feels good to you on that rod.
  21. Here's one ,which direction is the horse looking?
  22. LOL heres a typical night at the Tungsten house hold
  23. Can't say I've ever seen a plow on my street. So IMO there spending way too much. What gets me is when you get to an intersection with ice all over it and a plow comes by full of sand and doesn't drop any of it.
